Another Patch and still nothing done about Thorn
if you think its not OP then move along, your hopeless.
But this is insane, you nipped ARs in the bud asap! You nerf Vex asap, nerf special ammo (which only helped shotguns) and have done nothing to Thorn/TLW when over 70+% of people use them? Hypocrites

I wanted a nerf at first but now I just don't care. Get it and use it back. You want an equal and fair playing field, there you go. It's not hard to get, obviously if everyone is using it.

7 RisposteSo I do want to say I think thorn is indeed OP, BUT when I'm playing trials I swear by the Hawkmoon (yay for PS4?) I personally think all 3 hand cannons are very very powerful and it all comes down to your play style and preference. The MIDA seems to be pretty strong as well, although I have no first hand experience using it. And if you want to counter the thorn burn, pick up the Ref Death (this is the last exotic I need). My cousin used the Red Death the past 3 weeks in ToO and the health regen when going up against a thorn takes away all lingering damage. He just acquired the Hawkmoon and has since switched to it (him and I went flawless 2 times in a row - 18 straight wins using this gun). So yeah I do agree thorn is OP but it's countered by two other very OP HCs PS I'm sorry if you're on XB1 and don't have Hawkmoon or Red Death and understand your frustration

Simply a scrub. You should not be the one T bagging when you get a kill or win a game. You're using THE CHEAPEST weapons, and especially if you beat someone who is not using these said weapons, you are a scrub. You should be winning those battles and it shows how unskilled you are if you must result to utilizing these weapons in order to beat someone who isn't. I don't care what possible negative feedback I will receive for saying this, nor will I take the time to reply. The competitive community will know where I am coming from, and thus I encourage those that feel as I do, to spread the word like wildfire! We need to make it even more known across this game that these are noob weapons and thus their users are as well. No more shall we hear people talk crap online that they kicked someone's ass while using one of these weapons! EDIT: And yes I did use shotguns when the game was new, but no longer have I stepped that low

It's not thorn it's the programming by bungie themselves. Think about it While playing ToO or Iron Banner I've noticed things that make me go hmmmm. Some guns are still two shot head shot. Why is that? At level 34 defense is 1786. A 365 thorn for example two head shots should only do 730 damage (not including dot). I understand in level advantage off crucible players get 100 hp shield and 100 hp health. But when level advantage is on how are two shot head shots possible? Can anyone explain?

3 RisposteThorn should not be nerfed. They should buff ar's a little. Give scouts a small amount of rof increase. Leave pulses as they are and finally watch as people who get killed a lot in crucible make new threads begging for guns to be nerfed again.

You expected a nerf from a 6 hour maintenance period? That's too short for anything more than a boss tweak or reward adjustment. Men you see a 10-12 hour period then you can expect "something" along the lines of a weapon adjust.

A lot of people use it because it's a good gun. I try to use it, but I would only count myself as moderately skilled with it. People will eventually move on, but just because a lot of people use it, doesn't mean it's over powered. Hawkmoon for instance does better damage, especially if you get a round with bonus damage.
