I friggin love accents, probably because I'm a teenage girl who's grown up around the same sounding accent for her entire life. When I come across people in video games, with accents that I don't often hear, I love it. They're so lovely and attractive.
How about you guys?

I'm from Australia

3 RisposteI'm from Northern California. Do I have an accent? I've been told we talk fast by Southerners, which is something I've never noticed. Anyhow, regardless, accents don't matter much to me either way. I do find British accents unattractive though. They make a man sound effeminate and a woman, well, the British aren't exactly known for their women. The Irish however are the most attractive as far as the UK goes. It's a shame that your kind treated them so badly.

8 RisposteModificato da SnowBodhi: 6/22/2015 11:59:21 PMWhat many people don't seem to realise about British accents is that there are so many of them and they diversify greatly over short distances. My parents grew up 5 miles apart in the North West of England, and a local person could easily distinguish between them. Here's a video of some of the more recognised accents for you to enjoy: http://youtu.be/-8mzWkuOxz8 P.S. For bonus points, OP is an Anglophile as are many American girls in my experience.

I am a fan of a lot of British things, and I have adopted some British things into my life. I even have developed a sort-of British accent. It's just normal for me now.

Born in Pakistan. Lived in Bosnia, Sudan, Pakistan, and have been in the UK for the last 5 years. A lot of people say that I sound sort of American which I find really strange. Imagine a American/British accent fused with a really deep voice then that's me.

I have a very light southern accent and so I've had many people who don't know me think that I'm British.
