If you watch the "Out here in the wild" destiny vidoc video you can clearly see oryx at around 29 seconds. Imagine, how much better this game would have been if they released it with TDB, HoW, and TTK all as part of the base game then moved on from there with DLC. Money grabbing from activision destroyed the size of this game, sure it has a good amount if content but that's after 2 DLCs being added and it's still slightly dry. Why did this game have to turn into an actiscum money grab.
Edit: sure in the end it will amount to the same amount of content but if it's all split up then it's never a Big Bang of a product. The past content already becomes dry so it's not particularly adding into the past stuff it's more like moving in to something else small to medium in size.
Edit 2: link to video http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1OjUWw43co
Edit 3: I understand that it now most likely a wizard (I'm on my phone and it looked like oryx at first and I made the post instantly after) but my point still stands that imagine if all this content (or at least TDB and HoW) was included in the base game. That alone would have been all it needed for a perfect game release

Is that horse any more deceased than it was before you started beating it?
-
Originally, ALL the stuff from ALL the expansions (including upcoming Vex and Cabal ones,) was included. Activision -blam!-ed it up.
-
Some of it is. Same thing with HoW and TDB. They all had bits of it that where originally from vanilla.
-
1 RispondiI'm gonna get ahead of the curve here and just claim that any additional Destiny content was in the base game but cut. Including Destiny 2. There. I win. I'm the craziest conspiracy nut of all.

Only some of it is. Same can be said for TDB and HoW
-
1 RispondiThat's a wizard.
-
You're a -blam!- Harry
-
That is a wizard, there's concept art that had wizards with those kind of wings. They obviously changed the design. Man some of you guys are retards. That is definitely not oryx.
-
1 RispondiSo you're arguing that a pre-release wizard design is Oryx? Wow.
-
Um I like your point and all. I totally agree. But that's not oryx. It's just a wizard.
-
1 RispondiStill baffles me that most primary weapons weren't what they are now (Scout Rifles used to be Pulse Rifles, Auto Rifles used to be Scout Rifles, etc), and the upgrade system/skill tree advancement was totally different. That, and Thunderlord got completely overhauled, flavor text and all (the flavor text now is cooler, but still). I think people don't realize that if you bought Destiny (and subsequent DLC) in the first year, you essentially payed for a year of early access to the game; I do agree that the real Destiny releases this September. While I'm personally fine with that (since I do actually enjoy the game), it's sh*tty that they had to cut the game's "original" content into DLCs. That said, I'll play devils advocate and say that if Destiny had actually truly waited until this September to release instead of last year, it probably wouldn't have sold as well; starting this August, it's basically non-stop, pre-established AAA titles being released until the holiday is over. Activision probably knew this ahead of time (from my understanding gaming companies have a basic understanding of when other studios are dropping their games, often a couple years ahead of time) and pushed to get it released last year, when nothing big was really coming out to truly maximize sales (If I were Acti-Bungie, I wouldn't wanna drop an entirely new IP a month before Halo 5, either). And (unfortunately) in order to do that, some base content had to get changed to DLC. Of course, that doesn't make it right. But it happened, and it's in the past; no use crying over spilled milk now. The only thing we can do is hope the next two DLCs after TTK (if the Comet leak was accurate, which it's turning out to be, we still have two DLCs before Destiny 2) aren't as lackluster as TDB or HoW. Though Bungie has been a tad slow on fixing a few things (sometimes important things), for the most part they have listened to the community and actually have improved the quality of Destiny over the last year. Here's to hoping they keep listening and continue to improve upon their game, and their own mistakes. Only time will tell.

1 RispondiI know right? They're just like the government. -blam!-ing cutting out content. There's a perfect house right here and I can't live in it?
-
Just because they had a concept for the biggest enemy at the start of the game doesn't mean they had a raid and story ready for him.
-
*facepalm*

4 RisposteWizard = Oryx Got it!
-
Its called business. It's the consumers choice. U have the right to support the company by buying their games or not. I personally like destiny so ill support them. They dont need to bend over to the consumers and fanboys.
-
It's a wizard Harry. O_O
-
I did not realize so much taken king shiiit from way back then.... I -blam!-ing hate false advertisements.. lying piece's of shiiiit.. Definitely not buying TTK..

2 RisposteModificato da GrundleBeans: 6/20/2015 1:33:14 AMThe game couldn't have come out a year ago if they put all of that in it for one release. And looking at the video it's clearly an early version of a Wizard. It's definitely not Oryx. The ridges of the head are the same W shape as any other wizard, not like Oryx's big long one. That's also a cape, not moth wings and to reiterate what others have said, Oryx has bat wings, not moth wings. If anything they modeled Oryx to be a bigger more badass upgrade of a wizard afterwords.
-
So it begins.... ....again.
-
Someone recognized it's activision and not bungie! I tip my hat to you
-
That's a fùcking wizard
-
I agree with your point that most to all of the dlc was supposed to be in the base game, but you are a -blam!-ing idiot if you think that wizard is oryx.
-
6 RisposteYou do realize that's a wizard not Oryx right? Like you're smart enough to be able to tell the difference? The most obvious is it doesn't have legs.
-
2 RisposteIt doesn't matter. It's their game. They did all the work on it. If they choose to break it into dlcs it's their choice. Your choice is whether or not you enjoy it enough to buy those dlcs.
