Add checkpoints in PoE to the list. We had Skolas down to 5% health and were walking through him to the finish line only to be booted (only myself) and returned to orbit. I understand that networking quirks are not entirely your problem. I now have to endure another 5 rounds to get there? This is broken and I'm not sure I will continue. After 1460 hours it's a real shame such an oversight could cost you a loyal fan.

Bump this! Create checkpoint "keys". For every arena completed you get a key to next arena/stage. This key gives access to next arena. So you can only join a given stage in a PoE match with the proper key. This would prevent people from getting access to final boss arena/stage, unless they had earned the proper key.

Or just make regular checkpoints like in VoG and CE

But that makes it so people can jump into a final checkpoint without having completed the previous stages. Then people will just farm final boss chests without having completed any earlier stages. Keys earned at end of each completed stage would prevent this.

Why do you care if people come in at the end of the game? It already happens regularly and has in all other raids since the game came out. We regularly have people who have to leave because of work or life commitments and we drop in another player to take their spot. I don't care, it doesn't bother me. Would I like or prefer to have a checkpoint after each level? Yup! There are time differences with people we play with, as much as 8 to 13 hours, but more typically, 3 hours. I'd much rather we pick it up where we left off tomorrow. Bungie won't let us do that for some reason which only they can understand, so we sub in new players, or failing that, we quit and give up the time we invested for absolutely NOTHING, no reward! The rewards are already pathetically inadequate for the time it takes. Give us checkpoints for POE please!

I don't care. But apparently Bungie does. I'm just offering Bungie an idea for a solution that would prevent "chest farming" as is being done with the gorgon chest, etc... So that way everyone who completes a PoE match will have gone through the whole thing and earned access to each successive round. And can save their progress as checkpoint keys. That way we can play rounds at our own pace and maybe spread it out over the course of a couple days. I agree it can become too much of a time commitment to be forced to finish the entire thing in one sitting. I am a working father and husband, and have a life outside the game.

So for your idea of "keys" they would make it so that you have to complete the previous round to go to the next one? of so, then I misread it.

Yes. Exactly. Otherwise with just simple checkpoints, you could join a friend at a final boss round without having completed any of the previous stages. Everyone would exploit this and never earn their way into the final boss round. People currently exploit this all the time on the raids.
