[b]Ive been hearing chatter on how there is yet ANOTHER contract between PSN and Bungie so PSN gets more exclusives.
Im not THAT pi'sed off from the exclusive psn content personally but I just feel betrayed. Ive played all the way back from Halo 2 and even Marathon, yet we get the bottom of the boot it feels. Again.
A discount for the next dlc sounds soo fair though, because why pay the same for less content than PSN? Bump please. And PSN players, by all means, you cant disagree because you are the buyers getting the benefits so you can't really try and sympathize or empathize.[/b]
Edit 1: A lot of you guys open my eyes that I should definitely be mad at Microsoft for not being more caring about their fan base. (But if it was some bidding war, who knows how much money one company would pay for exclusives in the marketing area)
Also some of you guys had pointed out how weak but somehow effective using exclusives for marketing. Agree 110%
But I also want to finally point out how Bungie COULD be really generous, and do something nice for us xbox players. Like if Xur sells the new TTK exotic for PSN, why not sell Gjallarhorn for ps3 and Xbone/ 360.
They can do such cool things that don't ruin psn players' experience, and everyone can be happy.
Edit2: If you convert to sony, you just threw away A LOT of money and time. All for exclusive content that will all be available to us eventually. Its such a scam and everyone needs to know how hard they've been scammed if they convert consoles. Its such a stupid tactic. Waste of money load of bs.

Im really liking the trendiness of your opinions on my post because I have learned more information, and have become more open minded about this.
Ive learned that a lot of people agree, and other people are more bias, others don't care, and even the posts that think I am stupid, are the most important ones. Gets me feeling a bit more enlightened now.
But seriously, if you've switched to ps4 just for this game, you fell for such a dumb trick to get you to waste a lot of money. But if you originated of playstation, you guys have always been loyal to Sony, then props to you because you get exclusives. Damn.

Thats just the way it is I'm afraid. Sony were willing to pay for the exclusives so that their gamers had the full experience. Up til now MS have always had CoD DLC first. The funny thing is that it actually hurts both sets of gamers, be they on Xbox or PS, as none of that exclusive content is in full rotation. The exclusive map on PS has literally only just gone into rotation on Iron Banner. We have two strikes that have never been a Nightfall (meaning less variety). There are also the exclusive weapons, two of which I haven't been lucky enough to have drop for me and Xur can't sell them. But for all of that, it comes down to money, Sony paid them to get that extra content and Bungie/Activision are in it to make money. It could just as easily have been Sony gamers who lost out.

2 Risposteit's been like this for years - nothing will change it - Sony and Bungie are likely together for the next 7 years which means early content for PS4 users. As Xbox is selling way less machines than Sony there is nothing that will change this partnership. The Xbox version of The Division may be having exclusive content first for Xbox users and that may be a 10 year deal.

I keep seeing people blame bungie.... Its activision. Both cod and Destiny have some extra content being given to Sony and not Xbox. W/e they say goes. I don't mind the extra content being given to Sony because it's extremely little.

Agreed! I watched the trailer and saw the new subclasses and I was so exited. But it was all crushed when i saw down the bottom at the end it was a Playstation exclusive. I was like. WTF! We still haven't gotten the first exclusives i.e. Hawkmoon, Monte Carlo ect. And now they're rubbing their arses in our faces again. I don't want to buy a ps4 but they have suuu much!

And it looks like Sony is going to continue this practice with other developers too, black ops 3 will have exclusive content on ps4 now. Every console has exclusives. Titan fall was Xbox exclusive. Destiny isn't even exclusive just some of the content. I'm not hearing the cries of the Xbox crowd. Buy a PS4 if you want the content or wait for MS to work a deal on exclusives. Seems to me that MS hosed you guys not Bungievision.

4 RispostePsn player here and I think it's unfair. Why pay for the same price and lock out part of the content until who knows when. Hawkmoon, Monte Carlo and the 4th horseman are still unavailable and it's about to be an entire year since the game has launched.

That's the idea behind exclusive content, if xbox gets a completely exclusive game does that mean PlayStation should receive all other games discounted? The idea of an exclusive is that it makes people want to purchase a certain console. Dropping the price of the non exclusive would null the point. Also you get the exclusive items a year later, so you're getting the same content just later on

Sony paid for exclusivity, Bungie doesn't owe you anything. Sony paid, so their customers benefit. Blame Microsoft for not winning the bid war for exclusives.

It's not another contract. It's the same one. I'd expect it to last at least until they release a Destiny 2. Even then like Xbox has done with COD in the past it may continue. It's all about how important the sales they get are to a given console. If interest starts to fall off then they will reconsider spending money to lock up exclusive content.

It should not be a different price the fact of the matter is when the taken king comes out you guys on XBox will be getting all the PS4 exclusives that came out the first year. All the strikes all the gear everything!!! So in fact you guys are getting more new content than the PS4 users are.

Anyway, I'm sorry that you feel betrayed. But I've got to ask. Why? Because of a few console exclusives? There's [i]plenty[/i] of things that the Xbox gets that Playstation doesn't. I'll state for the record that I'm against console exclusive content. It's a poor business strategy that shows the immaturity of the gaming industry. But it's a business practice that's been happening for years and, until something catastrophic happens that brings this industry to its knees, I don't see that changing. As has been made [i]abundantly[/i] clear in the gaming industry lately, [b]loyalty counts for nothing[/b].
