Xbox betrayed....again?
Ive been hearing chatter on how there is yet ANOTHER contract between PSN and Bungie so PSN gets more exclusives.
Im not THAT pi'sed off from the exclusive psn content personally but I just feel betrayed. Ive played all the way back from Halo 2 and even Marathon, yet we get the bottom of the boot it feels. Again.
A discount for the next dlc sounds soo fair though, because why pay the same for less content than PSN? Bump please. And PSN players, by all means, you cant disagree because you are the buyers getting the benefits so you can't really try and sympathize or empathize.
Edit 1: A lot of you guys open my eyes that I should definitely be mad at Microsoft for not being more caring about their fan base. (But if it was some bidding war, who knows how much money one company would pay for exclusives in the marketing area)
Also some of you guys had pointed out how weak but somehow effective using exclusives for marketing. Agree 110%
But I also want to finally point out how Bungie COULD be really generous, and do something nice for us xbox players. Like if Xur sells the new TTK exotic for PSN, why not sell Gjallarhorn for ps3 and Xbone/ 360.
They can do such cool things that don't ruin psn players' experience, and everyone can be happy.
Edit2: If you convert to sony, you just threw away A LOT of money and time. All for exclusive content that will all be available to us eventually. Its such a scam and everyone needs to know how hard they've been scammed if they convert consoles. Its such a stupid tactic. Waste of money load of bs.
Edit 3: Thank all of you guys for your comments, even the semi-douchey ones.
Im really liking the trendiness of your opinions on my post because I have learned more information, and have become more open minded about this.
Ive learned that a lot of people agree, and other people are more bias, others don't care, and even the posts that think I am stupid, are the most important ones. Gets me feeling a bit more enlightened now.
But seriously, if you've switched to ps4 just for this game, you fell for such a dumb trick to get you to waste a lot of money. But if you originated of playstation, you guys have always been loyal to Sony, then props to you because you get exclusives. Damn.
Edit 4: Read my frickin Edits.

3 RisposteHere's a little history for ya Destiny was originally only for Play station but Bungie or Activision can't remember which one decided let's also make it for Xbox so that's why Playstation has the exclusives
-
1 RispondiMicrosoft diddnt even get us early access to Bo3 OR Destiny. Considering the switch for sure
-
18 RisposteSooo for many many years you have had the cod DLC before us. It annoyed us all but we dealt with it. And now we finally get some DLC first and your all crying like babies. Its a simple fact that sony waved a wedge of cash to help bungie to create this game you play. And as a thankyou to them they offer their players a bit of content before you. Oh and by the way, enjoy being 2nd best on cod DLC from now on too. Well done sony for giving "the players" what they want and deserve!
-
Trololololololololololololololololololololololol
Microsoft sucks. Deal with it.
-
7 RisposteThere's more people on psn now you have to realize that so of course they went with exclusives for psn and plus you didn't hear us bitching when Xbox had cod exclusives so shut up

10 RisposteModificato da GuardianzOfWar : 6/18/2015 2:09:26 PMLol at "betrayed". It's one gun, a shitty Strike PS4 users will get tired of after a few weeks (not to mention they are just recycling Sekrion as a boss), and a PvP map. I'm a Xbox One player and I'm fine with it. It's not major content. These are minor things. Honestly I'd switch to PS4 in a heartbeat if I could carry my characters over. But it's not a big deal. Sony paid for it. Microsoft dropped the ball. Blame them. I do. Not PS4 players faults their system is smart enough to fork out the money for it.
-
5 RisposteYou're paying for the same amount of content. You just have to be patient and wait for it for longer.
-
8 RisposteYour not getting less content just have to wait a little while for it

2 RisposteYou should blame Bungie for it. They had the "brilliant" idea to sell the exklusives. If Sony Refused the deal like Microsoft, Those Strikes and gear would be Available for Everyone. Sony didnt Pay for extra Content, they payed so that Xbox has Less content. Exclusives Are there Not to Reward the ONE fraction, they Are there to f.ck over the other fraction.

2 Risposte
But I also want to finally point out how Bungie COULD be really generous, and do something nice for us xbox players. Not saying that is the case, but there could be legal reasons they can't do what you ask anyways.
-
1. Blame Microsoft 2. You act as if Bungie had a contract with Xbox. In reality Halo itself had/has a contract with Xbox. Bungie can do whatever they want.
-
2 RisposteThey get... 1 strike 1 pvp map 1 armor per class 1 exotic gun
-
9 RisposteIt's the way all new cross platform games work now. Microsoft has call of duty exclusives playstation has destiny. It's how these companies capitalize on these games. It's cheaper to buy exclusive rights than to just buy the game rights. This will start a bunch of shit but it's why if I were to post in here how the one is better than the ps4 I would get bombarded by ps4 players because there are more due to exclusiveness. Same if I went on a call of duty forum and said it I would have way more people backing me.
-
5 RisposteI doubt it is a bidding war. I feel Microsoft is putting all their money towards Windows 10 and Halolens. Microsoft walked away from the Partnership with Activision allowing Sony to form one, hence the Destiny exclusives and the CoD exclusives. Not trying to be an ass, but I have no idea why Halo players feel Bungie needs to be loyal to that fan base. Bungie moved on and those players need to do the same. Bungie owes Halo players nothing for free. Bungie is in business to make money. Giving away free things doesn't make money.
-
Xur doesn't sell exclusive gear. He only sells what's available on all platforms. Except for Gjallarhorn.

One of the many reasons I'm too salty to play this trash anymore
-
All I have to say it's just money Activision has a contract with Sony to let the showboat it around and the signed another one for call of duty for this year only so it just a pissing match that Activision is helping fuel the fire Just understand what they get is going to be just a normal thing that won't change game play that much or provide an advantage bc we all know Xbox is the home of die hard gamer and the ones that switched are kind of sad bc they are the ones missing out My Xbox is no longer factory mine is actually more powerful than the PS4 But that doesn't make me better or anything Just play the damn game and quit getting a little butt hurt bc someone else has a shinny new weapon that won't be anything
-
I wish Destiny would have just been a ps exclusive like originally intended so I didn't have to share a forum with you little kids always bitching about exclusives. It's not enough that when I get on the forums I have to see crybabies complaining about thorn, skolas,Gjallarhorn,ToO and etheric light. Now I have to listen to you crybabies complaining because a company wants to make more money. Who cares if ps gets exclusives they paid to have them. Just be happy you even get to play.

3 RisposteGet a proper next gen console then!!!!! Ps4

Modificato da spooke2k: 6/18/2015 2:02:31 PMYou are being a tool , I love both systems But here is the simple truth Sony paid more so got more Xbox had same chance They messed up once on 1st expansion They Allowed same thing happen again Time for a Star Wars quote "Who is the bigger fool, the fool or the fool who follows him" I'm getting an Xbox one because of tomb raider it's just business
-
It comes down to business. First, Sony paid for the yearly exclusives. Second, currently there are more Sony consoles sold, which means more potential buyers on their console. It makes business sense to add incentives to get more of those consumers to buy your product. I'm not saying I agree with it, but I do understand it. No matter what, a year is a bit excessive, especially since no one is going to want some of the old exclusives now. What year one player is going to want a set of rare armor, or the three rare ships, which are all old design repaints.
-
Thats just the way it is I'm afraid. Sony were willing to pay for the exclusives so that their gamers had the full experience. Up til now MS have always had CoD DLC first. The funny thing is that it actually hurts both sets of gamers, be they on Xbox or PS, as none of that exclusive content is in full rotation. The exclusive map on PS has literally only just gone into rotation on Iron Banner. We have two strikes that have never been a Nightfall (meaning less variety). There are also the exclusive weapons, two of which I haven't been lucky enough to have drop for me and Xur can't sell them. But for all of that, it comes down to money, Sony paid them to get that extra content and Bungie/Activision are in it to make money. It could just as easily have been Sony gamers who lost out.
