Me.
Elemental damage weapons only are superior when going up against a shielded enemy or when there is a burn modifier.

Which happen to be a third of, if not more, of enemies. I only use kinetic weapons in PvP or patrols. There is no reason to take up an exotic primary slot unless you don't have elemental primaries.

1. That's what your special and heavy weapons are for. 2. Then you aren't looking at the situation creatively enough. If I'm running Crota's End....I'll equip Mida Multitool as my primary. For no other reason than the AGILITY boost it gives. Which (if you spec it to maximize the agility boost) will allow you to move at a normal walking speed in the Abyss, despite having a full weight of Darkness upon you. Elemental primaries are a valuable convenience....but they are not the be-all-and-end-all. Far from it.

If it hits harder than my Badger and has firefly maybe I will give it a shot, but with the quality of weapon recently I don't have high expectations. But most all content worth doing has shielded enemies unless you are patrolling. Even patrolling when the pack of wolves come I want weapons with a burn.
