So $40 for the entire expansion and $60 for the vanilla game+Crota End+House of Wolves+ The Taken King expansion!? Is this the right thing to do bungie?
Is there a benefit to new players? Is the DLC worth 40$? Is 60$ for the full package not a little to cheap for the content we (loyal players) will spend 135$ (in total) for? Also: Why do british people have to pay almost 60$ (40 English pounds), where other people need to pay 40$?
Did Bungie make the right choices?
Let us know what you think! (P.S: dont forget to rate this post up, so more people see and answer the poll :D I am curious)

The first two DLCs shouldve never even been $20, they shouldve been like $15. This new Expansion should only be like $25 or $30 IMO.
-
1 RispondiXbox should get a lower price since bungie likes to treat us like second class citizens.
-
In sports and such a season is a year. so when you bought the "season pass" it covered the year. the new dlc is after the year, SO your season pass is no longer in effect.
-
I like the $60 price point for new players. Making us pay $40 while new players pay $60 is wrong. Price point should have been $25-$30 for the expansion alone. $40 is insulting.

2 RisposteA dangerous president is being set where game developers can extort there fan base with trivial small dlc content & peeps take it like a bitch. Affordability should not even b the issue. It's quality. & bungie have yet to release a decent dlc worth anything close to the RRP. Games r getting smaller & DLC's the same. Just cuz u play it alot doesnt mean it should be dearer. Proces should only continue to rise or maintain high leevels when the quality is there. Lets look at it this way, HOW been out 3 weeks now in 4th, & ive already aquired all new gear n weapons n repeatedly completed activities. Bored already yep!! But wait now i should pay doible to get a mere amount more. Jeeesh fools. I just hope peeps dont jump on the pre-order bandwagon.

Modificato da Grut: 6/16/2015 9:11:20 PMIs this really that shocking? They're a business and like every other business to ever exist, they're goal is to make money. Period.
-
4 RisposteWait so as a day one player I can either buy TK for $40 Or rebuy destiny, TDB, HOW, and TK all for just $60 So a brand new player is getting what I will have spent $135 for only $60? Is that correct or am I miss understanding the situation?
-
im all for the prices. i spent the money and I'm happy. games always become cheaper the longer they have been out. plus now people who might not have been able to afford the game and it's dlc can. my only complaint is the old Gen consoles are crippling the game.

Modificato da MCPrezIndustries: 6/16/2015 9:07:36 PMMany people are disappointed since TTK is 40 bucks. But it's not a dlc, it's Destiny 1.5
-
1 RispondiI don't mind paying $40 if double the content of the DLC. But they should ask for more for new players getting everything. We are getting the shaft.
-
If it comes with the alleged six multiplayer maps from recent leaks, that alone values out at the industry standard for $30 ($15 per 3 map pack is quite standard for an FPS DLC offering MP maps). $10 for allegedly 4 more Strikes, another Raid, a whole new area to explore, another subclass, weapons, armor and more story? That sums up nicely. It's not your Mass Effect or Skyrim DLC, but Destiny is, in the eyes of Activision, who sets prices, just another FPS game. And for the FPS game it is perceived as, this is almost a steal. Gamers do of course disagree. In general, I think the price is about right compared to the other DLCs and the game itself.

Should be 25 bux at the most.... just saying
-
I won't pre order that's for damn sure. I'll wait and see if it's 40$ worth of content and if this expansion gives me a gad damn clue as to what is happening in this world.
-
What the real problem is Is that they have made the USD and GBP prices equal So we are both paying 40 of each currency So Americans are paying 40 dollars As Us Brits are paying 40 pounds Which equals about 60 dollars Utter bullshit
-
If this expansion has more than half the content of the base game, I don't mind paying $40. However, adding 3 exotic class items, 3 shaders, and 3 emotes-- when we don't even have ANY exotic class items, and we currently can't change our emotes-- is kind of messed up. I understand that those items are to boost new players to 20 so they can enjoy the new content faster upon purchase, and I know that 9 exotic faction/class items do exist in the game's database. But I want to be able to buy the cosmetics seperately.
-
I spent a hundred flipin bucks on the limited edition and still don't get the taken king but if you spend 60 you get everything
-
Modificato da Butt Hurt: 6/16/2015 8:01:12 PMI honestly think they aren't that high because an expansion with 3 or 4 story missions costs 20 dollars. Buying both TDB and HoW separately costs about 40 dollars. This is 12 story missions, one or two raids (idk), more exotics, more strikes. But what makes it worth it is if you actually want it and would spend money on it.
But I'm getting the collector's Edition ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
It's less then half the base game which was 60 buck and there charging 40 bucks that maths off

7 RisposteGaming has always been a very big part of my life. As OP has stated, he's put MANY hours into this game. I've seen a few clocked over 1200+ hours. Regardless. Time is money. Hasn't that been an age old saying? I will GLADLY pay $40 for this DLC.. I payed $60 for Destiny. I payed $20 for TDB. I payed $20 for HoW. I don't give two flying fuxx what anyone pays for their DLC and or game. All I know, is $40 is more than worth it, in the sense of the joy, and the time I will invest in it. Shit, at $5.50 an hour, if a Destiny player has massed just a miniscule 200 hours of gameplay, that's $1,100.00.... People be stuffin' their face at Rallys, McDonalds, Burger King, TacoBell, Starbucks coffee's, Monster energy drinks, the whole 9, yet want to complain about something that offers countless, and I mean countless hours of joy... Not to mention, a video game, which we ALL, clearly LOVE, and have loved for many, many years. Stop complaining. For -blam!- sake. Just for once.

It's pretty bad when you can trade-in an American copy if you don't own the Season-Pass or DLC's and it's almost the same price to buy the Legendary Edition than just get the Taken King. My area in Canada also gets marked-up prices for anything video-game related it seems as well. New games cost $69.99, and it gets heftier as the normal prices go up. I can see Taken King costing $45-50, and that's not including the ridiculous 13% tax driving the price up even further. Thanks Bungie. At first I though $40 was bad. Then I forgot about local-mark-ups and the insane tax rate.
-
It should be 25-30 dollars
-
I think it should be 20 like the others...
-
2 RisposteI'm just going to say that it's super annoying to see that after all of the poor reception the other two expansions received that they (both Activision and Bungie) have the gall to charge $40 for another expansion that looks a lot like it doesn't add a lot of value to the game. $20 sounds more reasonable honestly.
-
I would be totally happy if bungie included the exotic class pieces with the 40$ Taken King.
-
I love the price 40 euro's is too cheap, just pre ordert.
-
We paid $75 for an incomplete game, another $20 for a PvP playlist, and now they're making it $40 so that we can have a complete game. $135 for one game?! All of this should've been released from the start. ACTIVI$$$ION
