keep your filthy paws OFF my Thorn
I am sick to death with reading forum posts, tweets, blogs and much more with people complaining about how annoying Thorn is in PvP. Too many people keep complaining about it being too good and it not being fair. My response? Hands off my Thorn, go get your own!
I understand where you're coming from, I too was on the wrong end of a few bullets from a Thorn but you know what I did. I stopped crying like a baby and completed the exotic bounty to get one of my own. And you know what, you should to. Instead of whining/bitching/complaining and being plain annoying just do the bounty. Not only will you bag yourself what is in my opinion one of the best primaries in the game but you will also have an appreciation of how much effort goes into getting one.
It wasn't easy, it took me many hours and I more than likely lost a few more hairs on my head then I can afford but it was worth it and even more so once I spent the additional time to upgrade it.
So no more asking Bungie to nerf one of my favourite guns, stop being lazy and put the time in to get one yourself or do the community as a whole a favour and shut the hell up.

Here's the thing- if that many people are talking about it, and it's even gotten to the point that magazines and websites are doing write ups about it, then there's clearly a problem. Like it or not. Accept it or not. Thorn annoys me and it's not a weapon I prefer to use. But crucible is to the point now where it's either use it yourself or get destroyed by it non stop. I really enjoy using last word. It's one of my favorite guns in the whole game aside from maybe my beautifully rolled jolders. Unfortunately I have to put TLW away when the course of a trials match is dictated by who's using thorn. Is it beatable, yes. I can usually beat thorn users in mid to close quarters with last word but at range forget it. IMO that is the biggest issue with thorn. Not the DoT. It goes out to scout and with send it, sniper range. That is a problem.

You're solution to an OP weapon is to tell people to go out and get one?......... The Thorn bounty isn't difficult, it's tedious, there is a big difference. PS- What if people haven't had the actual bounty for Thorn yet?

So many haters! WTF! I don't have 1, but I enjoy playing against those that do, because it's a challenge, and to win is actually quite satisfying . If you had a fair playing field the game would be boring. Just how everyone runs to the same spot it matches. To pedictable. Skill will always be the best over powered wepon. To all you haters out there, Learn to play like a man, quit your moaning.

Thorn is op and will get nerfed. Not because of all the posts, because of the data. Bungie wants there to be diversity in the guns we use and right now thorn is everywhere you look in pvp. It was like that for the Suros a while back and we all know what they did to that gun(auto rifles in general). I use a thorn for trials (because everyone else does (for the most part, see some Hawkmoons and messengers etc.). Don't know when it's coming but it is!

1 RispondiThe counter to a weapon should never be using that weapon. And when 50% of all players used it in trials out of the thousands of guns in the game, we know there is a problem.

1 RispondiI use Thorn and even I think it needs a nerf along with TLW Thorn poison(burn) should only proc with headshots and should have lower range and aim assist

I deleted my thorn. Know why? I don't need a crutch weapon to be good at pvp. So sick of thorn in crucible. I hope they nerf handcannons as a whole and kids feel bad for abusing it.

If you are a sick and tired of thorn, get it yourself i was stupid enough to dismantle it hahaha but stil if you do not have thorn play more careful thats the trick. And play your bounty's so you can win it

2 RisposteBounty is easy 2 strikes you can solo and a couple of hours camping on Pvp Gun is OP and too easy to use. Let's face it if it needed skill not as many would use it. Guaranteed 2 shot kill Highest HC aim assist High fire rate High range Track damaged targets Stops shield regen Changes colour of victim screen making it more difficult to fight back. Read that list and tell me it's not OP. Don't get me wrong I don't get killed but it much but it's the most easy mode weapon in the game.

If you ask me, a bounty is nothing. It's just a wall to me from getting a guaranteed exotic. I did it for many weapons, and thanks to a void shotgun, it wasn't that hard to complete. Infact when I first got thorn, it was way back, before dlc 1 dropped. And I absolutely hated the weapon, so much that I only unlocked up to mark of the devourer and never maxed it. In pvp it was decent, yes it was decent. I wasn't arguing with it back then, infact I barely saw it at all. Maybe that was because of the bounty but the point is, you don't really see any Suros regimes in pvp anymore and there is a lot of thorns now. So before you go and tell me the real reason why you love thorn is because of the aesthetics I hope you realize it's an ugly weapon and you're just being another abusive bandwagon hex

I've done the bounty 4 times, once cause I needed it, once cause I had deleted my previous one and twice just for the heck of it. It is OP and needs balancing.

I have it and use it against teams full of thorn when I come across them. Personally I don't like the way the gun handles and much prefer my MIDA, TLW, and Red Death. However, any user of thorn can easily agree it's at least a bit op. A crucible nerf would be great, allowing it to perform well in PvE and making it so you can compete against a trials team of thorns without pulling out your own thorn.

1 RispondiI don't have one, but have the bounty on my hunter. Trying to complete the bounty and get gud at same time is hard work. Wish I had bounty before crucible secondary weapon ammo changes. Bungie definitely -blam!-ed up when they nerfed auto's. I'd prefer no more nerfing weapons and agree that Thorn should stay as it is. To those that want the Thorn nerfed... Please wash the sand out of your vagina!
