keep your filthy paws OFF my Thorn
I am sick to death with reading forum posts, tweets, blogs and much more with people complaining about how annoying Thorn is in PvP. Too many people keep complaining about it being too good and it not being fair. My response? Hands off my Thorn, go get your own!
I understand where you're coming from, I too was on the wrong end of a few bullets from a Thorn but you know what I did. I stopped crying like a baby and completed the exotic bounty to get one of my own. And you know what, you should to. Instead of whining/bitching/complaining and being plain annoying just do the bounty. Not only will you bag yourself what is in my opinion one of the best primaries in the game but you will also have an appreciation of how much effort goes into getting one.
It wasn't easy, it took me many hours and I more than likely lost a few more hairs on my head then I can afford but it was worth it and even more so once I spent the additional time to upgrade it.
So no more asking Bungie to nerf one of my favourite guns, stop being lazy and put the time in to get one yourself or do the community as a whole a favour and shut the hell up.

I wouldn't ask for a nerf, but a way to let more weapons be used. Because when you go into trials and all 3 enemies are using thorn, and you can get one hit by it if all three hit you? That's the issue. It's too unbalanced, I mean I use it too, it's fun to use. But I don't rely on it to get kills, and I'm sure you probably don't as well, but that's the issue. It's overused.

TL;DR - I'm whining because the thorn bounty was too hard and I probably had people boost me through it, and because of that it should be one shot kills and I shouldn't even have to aim or pull the trigger because the bounty was so hard. It should just kill everyone at once.

Saddest part is that thorn isn't op, everything else has just been nerfed to shit and the balance is broken. You never heard the endless stream of whining that we hear now when ARs were still good, I used to destroy thorn users with my shadow price. This is what happens when they constantly nerf weapons because of whining with no long term goal of balance in pvp, all the nerfs have been bandaids for the broken pvp.

The problem is everyone uses it and there's no need for variety in a game that has tons of weapon variety! We need balance not nerfs!

I have a 365 hawkmoon and TLW, my thornis still 331 and only upgraded no further then the DoT, it handles like garbage in my opinion.

Hey, thorn user here and I know where your coming from, but I do have to say that the thorn is a bit overwhelming in pvp. Now, I'm not saying it needs to go the way of the Suros, but they could at least get rid of the greening effect or slightly reduce the range.

Deej already posted their doing a weapon rebalancing so something 'big' might happen like the so many people asking ARs to be brought back to glory or the handcannons down to what they were

I have one on each character, and dismantled around 4 already for exotic shards. It and tlw both need nerfs. I don't use it too often, but I know it's op... It probably took you a while to get, and now that you got it you think that it will make you a better player. But, it won't. You may do better with it, against people that don't have one. And then you run up against people that don't use it all the time, like me. Who prefer variety, and use legendary weapons. And to spite you for using thorn, specifically choose you out of the group to target and take down as much as I can.

The bounty isn't even hard. Its harder to get the bounty to drop. Thorn dominates other exotics such as suros and hard light. No guns should be so much better than others. It needs to be adjusted. [spoiler]adjusted=nerf[/spoiler]

Bounty is easy and the gun is broken. If it ever does get nerfed the game will be better off without the crutch known as Thorn

I have completed the bounty many times last time it took me 2 games to finish. It is a great weapon (if you are lacking true skill that is). And I hope it gets nerfed at least moderately because it gives an unfair advantage to so many people everyone and their mom has one now.

How do you account for the slowed movement speed when you are using Thorn?

The most used weapons in crucible are hand cannons which means that other weapons need a buff

Shut your mouth you scrub. We do have our own thorns you twit, thats why everyone has one equipped in trials. They arent begging for a nerf because they dont have one. They do it because it needs it. If u cant see that you should go back to cod where you dont have the math proving you a scrub every time you pull the trigger

Its op enough said. I hate being forced to use it just to keep up when there are so many other choices.
