keep your filthy paws OFF my Thorn
I am sick to death with reading forum posts, tweets, blogs and much more with people complaining about how annoying Thorn is in PvP. Too many people keep complaining about it being too good and it not being fair. My response? Hands off my Thorn, go get your own!
I understand where you're coming from, I too was on the wrong end of a few bullets from a Thorn but you know what I did. I stopped crying like a baby and completed the exotic bounty to get one of my own. And you know what, you should to. Instead of whining/bitching/complaining and being plain annoying just do the bounty. Not only will you bag yourself what is in my opinion one of the best primaries in the game but you will also have an appreciation of how much effort goes into getting one.
It wasn't easy, it took me many hours and I more than likely lost a few more hairs on my head then I can afford but it was worth it and even more so once I spent the additional time to upgrade it.
So no more asking Bungie to nerf one of my favourite guns, stop being lazy and put the time in to get one yourself or do the community as a whole a favour and shut the hell up.

I've had a thorn since it sucked. Remember 6 rounds and the reload of a hmg? Yeah a while ago. I've gotten three since. I refuse to use it. It's breaking pvp, especially trials and needs a nerf, yesterday

13 RisposteStatic damage is OP or UP Static damage is worthless or unfair Right now it's unfair. Anywhere you hit a person from any range you hit a static amount plus normal weapon damage. In a FPS there should be no static damage. It makes "range" irrelevant. Shoot someone from 5000 yards and it does 1 bullet damage and 1/4th of the pvp Heath damage in static damage. It's a joke. Remove the DoT and add -prevent recovery for X" Still leaves them waiting to heal and vulnerable to more damage, but it's no longer OP

And if that good ol' Thorn don't kill, Damage Over Time will make sure it will. Fusions and shotguns don't you fret, post mortem kills is what we'll get. And if you're still alive, be-ware. There's plenty more Thorns in the Garden out there

I have thorn, it should be nerfed by buffing other guns. Pretty simple concept.

I tend to be against nerfs on weapons, and the nerf thorn posts are terribly annoying, but that being said, I feel as if something needs to be done with this weapon. It has a obvious advantage over any other weapon because of the poison damage. I feel as if they nerf it, they'll nerf the whole hand cannon class, and everyone will move onto the next "op" weapon. At the same time, it depends a lot on the user, I've seen whole teams with thorns and if they suck, it won't help them. I'm 50/50 when it comes to thorn.

It's not your gun, it's Bungie's fun. They can do whatever the heck they want with it, and right now they are probably considering balancing it in someway.

Honestly I haven't even used the damn thing in PvP. I'm more surprised by the over penetration, or at least I was until I saw the thing shoots metal spikes! I still prefer the last word though. The thing doesn't need a beer because it's already been buffed and needed before. Everybody who is complaining must be new because when they first buffed it mark of the devourer drain you faster than an open flesh wound.

Well I beat Atheon on hard with only 29s ATT, and got my OP Vex. Guess what? It got nerfed.

Thorn is OP... But I adjust. No since in complaining. I usually use guns that shake the users' camera when they are being hit. It disorients their aim. I don't remember the name of the perk, but it's on Red Death and a lot of the other guns in this game.

Just curious but, is the Thorn/rose not supposed to dominate in PVP as per its lore? I mean it was wielded by the "best" and all. Besides something has to and will dominate in the PVP, it's just the nature of the beast. We will find the most efficient way to kill and the losers will beg for the new thing to be nerfed. The cycle will continue just don't be a dick about it
