keep your filthy paws OFF my Thorn
I am sick to death with reading forum posts, tweets, blogs and much more with people complaining about how annoying Thorn is in PvP. Too many people keep complaining about it being too good and it not being fair. My response? Hands off my Thorn, go get your own!
I understand where you're coming from, I too was on the wrong end of a few bullets from a Thorn but you know what I did. I stopped crying like a baby and completed the exotic bounty to get one of my own. And you know what, you should to. Instead of whining/bitching/complaining and being plain annoying just do the bounty. Not only will you bag yourself what is in my opinion one of the best primaries in the game but you will also have an appreciation of how much effort goes into getting one.
It wasn't easy, it took me many hours and I more than likely lost a few more hairs on my head then I can afford but it was worth it and even more so once I spent the additional time to upgrade it.
So no more asking Bungie to nerf one of my favourite guns, stop being lazy and put the time in to get one yourself or do the community as a whole a favour and shut the hell up.

1 RispondiYou shouldn't be forced to use a certain gun in PvP to be able to compete. Yes there are a couple weapons that can almost do as good as thorn but when you go against an entire team of thorns it's unfair. They should remove it from ToO if anything.

Remember the auto rifle nerf? It was because a vast percent of players were using one type of gun. Handcannons blew the number out of the water, with thorn the biggest target of all. Not agreeing or disagreeing, but let me tell you sweet heart...making a post on a forum isn't going to stop a nerf of buff.

I don't know about Thorn, maybe other guns need bringing back up to par, like assault rifles. I'm am tired of seeing it being the only gun people use in the trials though, it's clearly OP but the 2 shot kill is okay with me. Bring the other guns back to match it. Nerf the recoil.

I'm not for nerfing anything, but having everyone using the same gun can be irritating and get quite boring. One of the reasons I never liked halo and quickly got tired of titanfall, because everyone uses the same guns.

It's other stats, it's perks, it's signature 2-headshot-plus-poison-equals-death properties is fine considering it's an Exotic, an unique weapon. It's supposed to stand out and trump most weapons. And as you say, it takes honest to god effort to get it. All that I can buy. What I cannot accept is the fact that Thorn just ignores so much of the things that keeps HC's in check compared to other weapon types: Recoil, Rate of fire and, most importantly, range. The range is really the crux here. It's ability to snipe across half the map like a Scout rifle is just too OP, since it means that Thorn is usuable in just about every situation. It gains an edge of flexibility compared to other guns. Which in my opinion is the definition of a weapon that unbalances the game. Simple solution? Cut it's range down and you solve the problem while still not making the gun unusable.

So you think the answer to the Thorn issue, is everyone should get one....... The irony is your post does the exact same thing as all the nerf posts. It draws attention to a hot topic, in which many are divided. Nerf posts. Leave alone posts, they do the same thing. Now a post for example, highlighting issues like AR needing buffs in Dmg and Range. Scouts need a slight dmg increase. Hand cannons Range further tweaked. Reversing the Fusion nerf. Fixing Felwinters insane range (Perhaps Shotguns PvP wise, in general?)

I've had one since around December or January. Still think it needs a nerf (dot not able to finish people off would be good) or just a change in how it works. Right now, it and the last word just dominate pvp. It's bad for variety at any rate, I don't think anyone can argue against that

1 RispondiSo your response to something being broken is to go and get it yourself? What a joke. I am sure if you told this when the Vex was OP people with give you shit for that. The gun needs to fit into the Handcannon class as in not being able to beat Scouts and Snipers. Reduce the Range and nerf the stability and maybe drop the Aim Assist a little to where it is not the gun people can use in any situation and it will be fine. It just baffles me that you think the answer is to just tell people to go out and earn it. LOL someone can only rely on one gun now and thats why you dont want anyone to nerf your crutch.

Did it ever occur to some of you guys that balancing is virtually impossible when different types of guns are being used especially when they all have different perks?if bungie wants balance in the crucible they are going to have to force just one gun type on us as long as there is variety one gun will always be OP compared to others so when you complainers win and they do nerf thorn the will be a whole new set of complainers for red death or TLW just like the suros regime complainers that came before you so then what?by the time we nerf every gun and ability we will be right back at square one

I don't get the hate. I've countered people plenty of times using a different weapon. I do like to use thorn in pvp simply because it's fun to use. However I also use Fatebringer or Gheleons Demise a lot as well. If you don't like being killed by it then use it. Their's no foreseeable future of a nerf or acknowledgement from Bungie so all these nerf thorn posts are pointless.

I've had a thorn since it sucked. Remember 6 rounds and the reload of a hmg? Yeah a while ago. I've gotten three since. I refuse to use it. It's breaking pvp, especially trials and needs a nerf, yesterday
