keep your filthy paws OFF my Thorn
I am sick to death with reading forum posts, tweets, blogs and much more with people complaining about how annoying Thorn is in PvP. Too many people keep complaining about it being too good and it not being fair. My response? Hands off my Thorn, go get your own!
I understand where you're coming from, I too was on the wrong end of a few bullets from a Thorn but you know what I did. I stopped crying like a baby and completed the exotic bounty to get one of my own. And you know what, you should to. Instead of whining/bitching/complaining and being plain annoying just do the bounty. Not only will you bag yourself what is in my opinion one of the best primaries in the game but you will also have an appreciation of how much effort goes into getting one.
It wasn't easy, it took me many hours and I more than likely lost a few more hairs on my head then I can afford but it was worth it and even more so once I spent the additional time to upgrade it.
So no more asking Bungie to nerf one of my favourite guns, stop being lazy and put the time in to get one yourself or do the community as a whole a favour and shut the hell up.

Nerf it extra hard. Just for this guy. It's user used by the community and bungie has used the line "we want all weapons type to be viable," to justify their nerfs. Handcannon nerf is coming, they are taking their sweet time...Hopefully to do a crucible reworking

Most of us complaining about thorn have it, have used it, and understand how absurd it is. If you think that easy ass bounty justifies it, you're a moron.

1 RispondiOk, people aren't complaining because they don't have one. In fact, plenty of people who have the gun ARE the ones complaining about it being OP, and a lot of them are justified. But it's not the guns power that's the problem, not one nit-picky issue, it's that there is a very small handful of weapons that can counter or compete with it for the primary slot. Some people feel forced to use it to be at all competitively viable in the crucible, and when just a handful of weapons out of the whole destiny arsenal are being used, that indicates a balancing problem. Maybe not just with thorn, but AR's and other exotics as well. So please get your head out of your ass.

4 RisposteNo, i will not use thorn, it is one of the WORST primaries in the game, it had to be buffed a lot and is overused and requires no skill whatsoever to use. Anyone can turn around and get thorn kills, stop acting all high and might because you can use an op gun. Ill stick to my pulse rifles(which are 10 times better)

I think the range is excessive, and the green screen effect has got to go. Aside from that it's not really that game breaking. Both IB and ToO have level advantages enabled. That in itself makes Thorns a hot topic because many players try to squeak by with less armor, more agility and/or run while non cap level. There have been numerous times I've 1 shotted a lvl 32,33 via headshot. I can't recall ever being 1 shotted or 1 shotting a lvl 34 in either IB or ToO.

I have a thorn. I've had a thorn since the first week of launch. I got my thorn when it was actually really, really hard to get. And it was a piece of garbage too. Pre patch, it was literally the WORST exotic in the game.. possibly the worst gun in the game. And I refuse to use it in PvP because it is beyond broken. If you're defending it for PvP use, then you must be awful with every other gun out there.

Great. So you are basically saying that we should just all use the same weapon. Because that makes the crucible really fun. The Thorn has always been one of my favorite weapons because of the poison and the lore. It was one of my first exotics. It has gotten ridiculous though. Now the majority of people use it. It has completely taken away the fun aspect of it, because we are pretty much forced to use it when we see the majority of the opposing team using it (which has become more common than not). There is no longer any variety in the crucible. Most players use the Thorn now because either they need a crutch due to lack of skill or they are trying to counter it. It's very strong and it's very easy to use. When nearly everyone is using the same gun there is obviously a problem with it. And because of all these people using it, it is inevitable that it will be nerfed to uselessness.

17 RisposteI don't care if Thorn is nerfed, but Hand Cannon range in general needs to be nerfed. They should be lethal at close and mid range, but people shouldn't be able to cross map kill you with them in 2 shots. It's absurd.

As an Thorn Owner it needs nerfs the weapon is too cheap, requires very little skill to use or obtain. My thorn is 365 as well as my last word, if they won't nerf thorn they need to add more weapons with poison(scout rifle, Auto Rifle, Pulse Rifle)'s.
