You use Golden Gun. You hear another one activate. What now?

Live to fight another day. Avoid wherever it came from.

Alright, partner...draw!

Golden Gun shootouts are pretty nerve-wracking, but really are reminiscent of those old western shootouts, where two gunmen would meet at high noon and see who's faster on the draw. Oh, are you a blade dancer? Sorry, this is a post about gunfighters. Go play Assassin's Creed, or something. Edit: Hm...a few Blade Dancers gettin' ornery on my thread. I've seen better sides of beef been run over by a combine, than you fellas. Let's establish a few facts, shall we? Hello, fellow Guardians. Titans, Warlocks. Welcome. And a really complicated handshake goes to my fellow wanderers. Vagabonds. Marksmen. Bounty seekers. Masters of the frontier. Riflemen. Desperadoes. Hunters. Oh, what's that? You're a "Hunter", but that description a little off? I see...my apologies. You must be a Baddancer. Yeah. I just said that. Issue? Grab a tissue. I see I got your attention. Let's cut to the chase. Here's the class description for the Hunter. "Hunters once prowled the wilderness and wastelands, taking big risks for even bigger rewards. You're no outlaw-at least, not anymore-but making your own luck has always meant bending the rules. Your unique brand of daring and ingenuity is needed now more than ever." See, Destiny has two types of Hunters. Theres you. "Space Ninjas." "Blade Dancers", you call yourselves. "Phonies", being your true label. "Fagit/-blam!-/fgt" is like your mantra, and every game you play poorly in is at the fault of lag, cheating, or your weapons breaking. You know, the other classes hate you, not us. We're just lumped with you because you decided to copy our look, and decide to label yourselves something not befitting to your tactics. Less of a "Hunter", you lot are. "Mongrel" is more fitting, if you ask me. Less flattering, but it suits you types more. You types who, fresh from a session of Assassin's Creed, fingers colored burnt orange from Doritos dust, sweating beads of lukewarm Mountain Dew, decide to jump into Crucible with a shotgun and a "plan". To approach every situation with reckless abandon, Blinking at everything within a two-mile radius. You equip a Thorn/TLW in hopes that, and in the event to find yourself in the rare happening of "oh no, he's too far to shotgun, and I've already Blinked twice!", you mindlessly shoot as fast as you can in a blind rush to see if the cookie-cutter loadout you adopted from your main man xXxassn_Ku5h_k1LLa_420_Y0L0xXx would save you, only to find that, in a great, terrible revelation, ranged weapons aren't shotguns. =0!! "Ohhh noez!!!" Ded. You collapse in a heap before the Blink sound effect ends. You see a strange icon appear in between your name and your killer's. You've never seen it used before, nor do you have the literary skills to even know how to pronounce your killer's name. "Wot to hek is dAt gUn? Wtf is a Ree-clay-ment?" Disregarding my name, since words bore you and make your cerebrum itch, you go straight to Google to look at the weapon and learn it's what's called a "Scout Rifle". Though you forget about this experience entirely ten seconds later and go back to watching videos on blamming lolcats.com Then there's us. The genuine article. Not just Hunters. The Hunters. Gunslingers.. While you self-titled "Assassins" blink around hoping for an easy kill, we're plotting. Carefully planning our next shot with precision, finesse, and deadly accuracy. Quick on the draw, smooth on the strafe. Easy on the tracking, yet speedy on the target acquisition. Sharpshooting is a foreign concept to you, in the same way color is to a child born blind, but to master the firearm is our art. You can always tell a Hunter...but you can't tell 'em much. We're in no hurry, us Gunslingers. We live for the perfect shot, and dedicate our lives to finding it in the same manner the artist seeks to paint the perfect masterpiece. "Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast." We don't Blink, because our eyes are too focused on the scope. But hey, Blink as much as you like, Mongrels. See if our rifles and revolvers won't track you. But before you do, you have to ask yourself, "Do I feel lucky?" Well? Do you, punk? If so, go for it. Blink at us. Just know that when you open your eyes, and see yourself in mid air, we will, too. And you'll be as vulnerable as an eye with no lids. See you in the Crucible. And next time? Don't bring a knife to a gunfight. Edit: The necro bumping is real. (June 2015) Edit 2: See the first edit. (August of 2015).
