You're Not Worthy of the Lighthouse (Yet)
I don't mean to be the dick who rains on your guys' parade, but it's true. So many people are trying to go to Lighthouse over and over and over again, time after time... only to fail.
You guys just need to learn that it isn't for everyone. All throughout Destiny, anything can be done by just "cheesing" your way through it or getting lucky by RNG. The Lighthouse is the one thing in Destiny where you truly have to be good. Sure Skolas can be complicated, but that's nothing that 3 Gjallarhorns couldn't solve. And those are RNG, so my point is somewhat proven.
If you guys want to get to the Lighthouse, crying on the forums and asking for people to carry you through is probably only going to work like 0.001% of the time, if even that.
If you want to make it, I'd suggest getting to level 34 and practicing Elimination. If you are able to get at least 5 wins in a row on Elimination with a team of level 34s, then you should try to make your way to the Lighthouse. If not, you just have to accept the fact that it's not meant for everyone to visit.

I just gave up on trials, I tried it for the past few weeks but I decides this week I'd finally give skolas a go, I managed to it and it felt great, guess PvP just isn't my thing, I've enjoyed playing Prison of Elders this week though, I don't usually do a lot of PoE but I've done 3 32's, 3 34's and 1 35

2 RisposteSome people are able to have make it to the lighthouse because they have good friends to do It every week with or their in a active clan which is good but then there's others who are really good or decent but they struggle to make it to the lighthouse because their teamed up with randoms in the forums who are trash as f*ck or uncooperative. So just because someone haven't made to the lighthouse and constantly keeps trying to, it doesn't mean they suck or it isn't for them, they just don't have very good luck with teammates.

I lost my chance at flawless when some squeaker ran out on us during trials, but I'll try again next week. I do need people, though.

Some people may have reached their limit and do not have time to practice for days on end, so they will go elsewhere. This means no money coming into Destiny, ergo the end of Trials and the game period. Sorry so called "best of the best", but the scrubs are the ones supporting R and D, not your few piddly squat dollars. Bungie blew it on Trials and Prison of Elders. The scrubs will move on and you "elite" will be waiting in orbit for hours just to get a match, or keep playing against the same 4 teams until your playstation dies a sad death. Why is this so hard to understand!?? In order for people to keep coming back, there has to be some payoff and the crappy gear in POE is not it, nor is the constant stomping in Trials any fun for the average player. The average player is the majority of players and they will not stick around to support the few "the best of the best" flouncing around with their capes. This means players leaving and money out the door for Bungie. It is simple economics and all your arguments and "get gud" BS will not change that. No money = no game, get it? It's not hard, really. Thus ends the lesson.

Here's a tip big guy, no one sees that emblem and thinks you're any good. The first thing they wonder is how many times you were carried. The second? That you cheated your way there.

I think that's where the complaining is coming from, everyone think they're entitled to everything in this game, so since they aren't good enough to get to the Lighthouse, it means ToO is "unfair". Welcome to the concept of being rewarded for hard work, gamers have been spoiled lately from developers simplifying their games and rewarding people not for success, but for participation.

Just not a game mode for me. I have a slow steady hand, which is great for creating and selling paintings, but horrible for pvp shoot em up games. If any of the endgame gear and weapons were worth getting I'd put in the effort. I do love yellow as a color, but I'm okay not having yellow stuff....until September.

5 RisposteTo be honest, I could care less for the lighthouse. All I want is the gear. That's all I want. I'm not great at PvP by a longshot but I still try. I want to get some of the best gear out there like many others but I feel I hold my own team back. The main friend I play with puts up with it just to try and help me out and I thank him for it, when no one else would help. I'm not going for a sob story here, but I'm trying to explain the likely mindset of all the people like me playing ToO.

4 RisposteI went twice. Both on pantheon. One time I didn't even use the mercy of osiris. But this week on cauldron ugh there is no reliable strat for this shit map. And I don't have a good shotty like felwinters

Valid points made. Before Elimination was a thing I spent a lot of time the first few Trials getting my ass handed to me. I've been fortunate enough to have some beast friends though that have helped me get better by supporting their rushes and being their back-up to work well as a team despite the skill gap between us.
