You're Not Worthy of the Lighthouse (Yet)
I don't mean to be the dick who rains on your guys' parade, but it's true. So many people are trying to go to Lighthouse over and over and over again, time after time... only to fail.
You guys just need to learn that it isn't for everyone. All throughout Destiny, anything can be done by just "cheesing" your way through it or getting lucky by RNG. The Lighthouse is the one thing in Destiny where you truly have to be good. Sure Skolas can be complicated, but that's nothing that 3 Gjallarhorns couldn't solve. And those are RNG, so my point is somewhat proven.
If you guys want to get to the Lighthouse, crying on the forums and asking for people to carry you through is probably only going to work like 0.001% of the time, if even that.
If you want to make it, I'd suggest getting to level 34 and practicing Elimination. If you are able to get at least 5 wins in a row on Elimination with a team of level 34s, then you should try to make your way to the Lighthouse. If not, you just have to accept the fact that it's not meant for everyone to visit.

Sorry, matchmaking for Trials is as much RNG as anything else. You can face teams well below your level of competition and make it easily. Until they put in ranked matchmaking, it's still not an equal test of skill.

Honestly the best advice I can give someone who can't go flawless is to change your mindset as a player. If you want your KD to change you have to change the way you play.

Then there are those who simply milk the training wheels in this game nonstop. You can pick out a real scrub regardless of their emblem if they think this game is competitive. Fix the +_=£=$#@ severe latency advantage. Get the heavy handicap ammo out of "competitive" modes (because tracking rockets with tracking clusters certainly belong) Sloppy supers aren't too bad in trials but still require the skill of a baboon Tracking grenades with massive radius and no timing necessary are 100% skill Guns aren't even close to balanced Blink shotgun is an issue (again..requires heavy skill) Final round snipers Probably other lame crap I forgot atm Basically they would have to redesign this babies slopfest game. It's obvious that their major concern was that everyone who picks up a controller can get kills no practice or effort necessary. Doesn't work too well that way when you want to pretend your game is competitive.

1 RispondiOk I've made it to the lighthouse twice and after that I saw that you really don't get anything good from it so I stopped doing trials but people want to try to get to the lighthouse even if there not that good don't just be a ass and say don't waste your time with it because not everyone has the time to play destiny as much as you so there not going to be as good as you.

OP, I understand where you're coming from and mostly agree. Trials should be a mode for the best of the best, where experienced players compete using the most efficient strategies to win. And winning is the point, not complaining about how you were defeated, regardless of dirty tactics or personal principle. And upon winning, each member of that fireteam should be 1/3rd of the reason for that outcome. That said, I believe some people genuinely enjoy the high stakes nature of the mode, and without considering their own shortcomings will still try. Even in defeat, enjoyment can be had as well as learning the ropes.

Agree. The skill gap that was previously hidden in pve endgame has become apparent with ToO, and it's too tough of a pill for for some people to swallow

I want to finish my collection of guns, finish the armor on all my characters, then I'll probably never touch trials again unless someone asks me to help. Going flawless feels so good though.

What skillful about 3 thorns and 3 felwinters/last round snipers? Who you're paired against is just as much rng as anything else in the game.

Practice sniping, a great sniper is a 1000x more useful than a good shotguner

This trials shit is completely overrated and the drops are to much compared to actually being one of the 9% of the total player-base that actually finishes a raid. (16 million players that's about 1,44 million total) compared to the trials numbers: 3,798,561 = Trials of Osiris matches played 118,627,301 = Kills (or Deaths, if your glass be half-empty) 188,442 = Players visited the Mercurial promised land 299,001 = Guardians scored a perfect scorecard makes the trials more easy actually. Trials is where Bungie made the mistake that actually has them losing players/player-base instead of gaining. Giving away special weapons in one game mode that not everybody likes is the dumbest thing you can do in a ("MMO") People that call this the "Ultimate Challenge" are better of playing some Super Mario there's to much outside factors (Lag / Cheats / NRG with matchmaking) to actually call this Ultimate in any sense of the word.
