Did I read correctly that you upgraded weapons with your first ethetic light? I would stick to armor, it will have a more profound impact. Regardless, I did it to level 5 as a 32.5 on two characters and I'm not a PvP player either. If you can get one character to level 5, run the others through as there's a catch up bonus. The bounties are key to both. 4/5 are totally doable, even for non PvPers. I do agree though, etheric light should he more attainable. It smells to me like radients, where you need to run things over and over again to level it up only its more rare. I hate it and all the affects its had from radients to ascendents to the crap they drop instead. Good luck

lol i made it to rank 5 and haven't used one atheric light lol i been going lv 32 with 331 weponds and my 300 Damage machine gun and my last word,Thorn, and my no land beyond i also never really play PvP i think is broken and i rather just patrol the planets lol theres really no excuse other than your lazy and arent willing to do the work but tthats just my opinion lol

I feel for you man, I don't mind PvP but I absolutely suck at it and it took me 12 hours of play time to get one etheric light from IB rank 3...I quit as soon as I got rank 3.

Why use the only light you had on weapons.

You only need your primary to be 365 and even then you can survive with 331.

2 /4 / 6 from Poe 2/4 / 6 from Ib 1/ 2 / 3 chance from NF 2/4/ 6 from Trials Thats 3/5/7 at most from pve. All you have to do is this: Ascend an exotic Do 32 prison, get armor core and hit 33 A: Wait next week B : do 34 as 33 C: Night fall D: B and C Repeat steps. Guaranteed 34. And if you do 34, you'll get 365 weapons. Its not hard.

Hardcore PvE players: 3 etheric light per character from PoE. Moderate PvE and moderate PvP: Iron Banner (let's face it, it is not hard to reach rank 5 in IB, especially with the new rep system). 2 etheric light per character. Hardcore PvP players. 2 etheric light per character. 3 if you count the chest on Mercury. I don't see how any PvE or PvP player is favored. Besides, Destiny wasn't made to cater to one side or the other, that's why it has both! Learn to play both, or find another game.

Light is super easy to get. Do POE level 34 on each of your accounts each week and that is a for sure 3 Lights. If it is like this week do Iron Banner and with the whole buff system you can at least get level 3 on each character and if you have time possibly level 5 so that is 3 to 6 more light. If you are big into Trails you can get light from there and of course random chance from nightfall. You are not going to be able to level everything at once but as you can see over time you will end up getting it all done and before you know it Light will be just collecting dust in your vault.

Etheric light is a privilege. Now stop crying. People had it way worse before.

I'm not a huge fan of pvp but iron banner and trials are a good way to obtain etheric light. Just buy the boon and do the bounties every day in iron banner and you will get them no problem.
