As the game currently stands, the Prison of Elders weapons have been the most useless end-game weapons to be released so far. It's not solely because of the Shank Burn/Dreg Burn issue, but because of the fact that those perks take up a main perk slot. They're not like Oracle Disruptor or Hive Disruptor, and sit below a main perk in the upgrade tree, they eat up a main perk entirely. There were a few weapons that dropped during Crota's End which had their unique perks that were rather useless for anything outside of fighting hive, like Dark Breaker and Lich Bane, but this time around EVERY weapon is in that boat. The perks themselves really don't help remedy the issue at all either just because of how weak they are.
Shank Burn? ~123 bonus damage to Shanks
Dreg Burn? ~123 bonus damage to Dregs
Vandal Burn? ~123 bonus damage to Vandals
Demotion? A low chance of stunning Fallen Captains
Mutineer? A low chance of suppressing a Fallen Captain's abilities
Disciplinarian? 75 bonus damage to Fallen enemies
And you thought THOSE justify taking up a main perk slot? I could see Mutineer or Demotion ending up as a main perk on maybe the Servant of Aksor just because it's Arc damage and doesn't really need any more perks, but why Bungie? Why make the Prison of Elders weapons so underwhelming compared to the Vault of Glass and Crota's End weapons? These weapons were always so interesting to get since they weren't bound by the 'perk 1 slot' and 'perk 2 slot' rule, they could have a Perk which was normally restricted to the first slot in the second if they wanted to and vice versa. They could also end up like Fatebringer and have a perk which that weapon class normally couldn't get on its own.
So please, Bungie, redo the Prison of Elders perks. Get rid of them entirely except for maybe Disciplinarian, give us a real perk on the weapons such as Feeding Frenzy and the like, and move Disciplinarian (Or a Fallen Disruptor perk) to a node under the second perk. Make them actually feel worth using alongside the other Raid Weapons, because as they currently stand they're about as useful as Rare weapons. If you guys really have no intention to ever rework the perks on the weapons, at the least let us reroll them at Variks to try to get a different Fallen-themed perk!
Share your thoughts below and let's try to keep this bumped up for Bungie to see.
-tl;dr-
The current perk upgrades on the Prison of Elders weapons are far too weak to be justified as main perks; please remove them entirely and add in a real second perk to each of the Prison of Elders weapons alongside Disciplinarian or a real Fallen Disruptor as a special perk underneath the second perk like Oracle Disruptor and Hive Disruptor were.
EDIT: Someone suggested that we should be able to reroll our Fallen-specific perks at Variks through giving him a Weapon Core. The idea of that was to remedy having to obtain the weapon itself numerous times. It was also specifically stated that the Primary weapons should have static elements in regards to the rerolling, which means if you have a Void Wolves' Leash II you don't have to worry about it becoming Solar and vice versa. Although this isn't the best solution to this, I think it's a pretty fair idea and would be OK with the system for the time being.

1 RispondiBumping a buried post.
-
8 RisposteBut I love shank burn on EVERYTHING. Whenever I see a shank I immediately whip my rocket out and annihilate it.
-
All the perks should have been like Disciplinarian, been Faction-wide like the Armors, and not replaced a main perk unless they were significantly improved. Extra 100 damage on every Cabal I see, even outside the Prison? Not Firefly, but I would definitely give it a try before immediately dismantling like I do now.

1 RispondiShank burn needs to be removed or replaced. There is absolutely no point in the game where it is needed. Unless we are going to fight 300 major or ultra shanks in TTK, it is 1000% useless. ONE THOUSAND PERCENT USELESS!

I really don't understand why they made the PoE weapons this way. First, they're not even all that useful in the Prison of Elders. You fight against every enemy faction, not just Fallen, so whatever perk you have on the weapon is useless most of the time. Second, this means that the vendor weapons are strictly better. Not only do they each have perks that aren't dependent on the enemy you're facing, you can reroll them until you run out of materials or get exactly what you want on them. Third, why no servitor burn? That's actually an enemy where extra damage would be useful. Who uses a rocket launcher or machine gun on a shank?!
-
I don't think the should make the a secondary perk like the Oracle burn because the HoW weapons are too easy to obtain. If that was the rule for the skolas weapons, that would be fine. I think that the PoE weapons are fine because their purpose is to help new players, not old ones. I'm sure you all remember how hard it was to get legendary weapons, this is Bungies way of helping players avoid the grind that everyone hated back in September through November.

1 RispondiModificato da Erijian: 6/29/2015 3:05:29 AMBump. Prison of Elders is becoming a rather irrelevant activity due to the poor rewards from doing it and it'd be nice for it to actually be a worthwhile thing to do after getting all three Exotics.
-
5 RisposteAs much as I enjoy playing PoE, The PoE weapons are complete garbage compare to the VoG & CE raid weapons.
-
1 RispondiI personally don't care because I'd still probably use Fatebringer and Found Verdict regardless.
-
Modificato da Phathas: 7/5/2015 1:52:25 PMA couple of my buds have been taken to calling PoE, Poo instead. Because the amount of time it takes to kill skolas and walk away with either nothing or less likely guns they don't need. (like yet another arc pulse rifle, with shank burn)
-
3 RisposteDisciplinarian kind of makes sense, along with the Demotion. Other than that... Shank burn... on a shotgun... *facepalm*
-
1 RispondiThe PoE legendary weapons are garbage. I've dismantled every single one pretty much.
-
Servitor burn.
-
i would like boss burns..... volus burn priest burn(lol people would have a field day with this one...) servitor burn gate keeper burn ect....
-
Please just fix every aspect of Poe rewards
-
9 RisposteI think lvl 34 and 35 u should get exotic out the box automatically because when u put say 1-2 hours in a game of poe you should be rewarded with someone better then just getting a quiens gun that u have about 5 of the same ones I remember when poe first came out lvl 28 would give out exotics yea that was just horrible but they upped it to much knw it's hard to get exotic from the chest
-
1 RispondiA change won't be coming any time soon. Just another example of why HoW is a piece of garbage.
-
Modificato da Rikkom: 6/24/2015 4:51:36 AMThe first thing they should do is fix them to be like the other "end game" weapons, which had 2 regular perks and then the raid specific perk. As it is now, the arena weapons get 1 normal perk and then the arena perk, making them generally worse than regular legendaries (my opinion). Edit: just read where you pretty much said the same thing, I'll still leave this here
-
POE is bad period once i got my 3 exotic bountys, i never went back. Lol at the people who wanted horde mode . Nothing will beat a raid, as for weapons in POE we have no space in a loot game to store stuff. So i dismantle every weapon i get now.

Honestly they won't, because it's pointless at this moment. Yes TTK is about 2 months away but still it's literally just around the corner. They won't bother touching anything else before TTK. So don't even bother with these type of posts because it's not going to happen.

Prison Of Elders Weapons = Dog Shit BUMP!
