Whats the point of having other weapons when you have the thorn?
Whats the point of having other weapons when you have the thorn? I mean Destiny has all these faction, vanguard, crucible, and special event weapons that absolutely NO ONE USES? Thorn for PvP and Gally for PvE.....nuff said.

9 RisposteHey, people can hate on Thorn all they want, it's understandable, but nerfing it won't solve a damn thing. At this point in Destiny, nothing should be nerfed, there needs to be buffs. I've tried almost every gun in the game in Crucible against Thorn and when it comes to primaries, The Messenger puts those Thorn users in their place, on the ground with their smile turned upside down. Not only does it shoot farther, is more stable, and is a pulse rifle with better stats than the Red Death, it does the same thing as Thorn, two shot you. I know not many people have this gun, but when you get it, you'll be a proud owner of a Thorn killer.

3 RisposteYeah I agree. End game content and PVP have become trivialized by a select few weapons. I find it rather boring using the same guns all the time, but you have to. If you don't then you're simply putting yourself at a disadvantage. Thorn, HM, TLW, and Red Death out class nearly every other weapon in the game. Players won't even accept you into their fire team if you don't have Gjallarhorn.

2 RisposteI miss using my the devil you know. I'm afraid they're going to nerf hand cannons as a group and then they'll suck like ARs instead of just the few exotics. I want to use other weapons besides thorn but if you do you're doomed.

2 RisposteI believe you are mistaken. The correct load of is as follows: PvP: TLW, Praedyth's Revenge, Corrective Measure / Tomorrow's Answer. PvE: Fatebringer / Vision of Confluence, Shotgun (flavor of the day, with regard to elemental damage), and yes, Gjallarhorn. Okay, you were somewhat right about PvE.

1 RispondiI don't like using thorn. It's boring as hell. And completely useless in PVE which gives it zero value for me. Get tired of 90% using it though. Gets old. Gets so old that I've started joining in on the nerf thorn post and I'm actually in support of a nerf. Just in the hopes that they ruin it like autos. Just so it goes away.
