I agree, I do not want to farm iron banner so I can buy them. And they have crap gear offered from the Vanguard in crucible now. Why does everything have to have strength on it. They've made the game such a grind fest what do you expect from Activision (Blizzard)

Scarcity? I have 20 sitting in the vault, Bungie is literally gifting Etheric Lights, so far Week 1 & 2, there has been 33 potentially available, and this week will add up to an extra 21.

I have 11 etheric with all guns 365. No point in adding that when etheric is soon to be the new woodpile material. Osiris, iron banner, nightfall, prison. If this is not enough chances at etheric then you don't deserve it. Etheric should not be earned by pathetic means such as the daily. It should be earned and yet still yearned. What is there for a serious player in this game to be proud of? Level 35 element weapons and osiris gear. Everything else is practically given to you. You were given level 30 when the rest of us grinded the vault for it. You were given level 32 when the rest of us slaved crota's end for it. Be happy with what you have been given for once. Bungie I applaud you for this exceptional game. I applaud you cross platform performance. I cannot wait for destiny 2.

Uhm, ethric light isn't hard to get, it's not rare, it's guaranteed in doing specific things, poe 34 35, trials 8 wins for 2 9-0 for 3, iron banner this week 2, chance on nightfall? Yea no, no need for fragments

What do you mean etheric light is rare? If you do the weekly activities there's plenty

Those rewards can be trades for motes or glimmer or to upgrade old gear from previous expansions that you still want. So I would disagree that the rewards you get for them now are useless

I'm not trying to be rude but I really dont understand how people have such toubles with etheric light. I got my warlock to 34 day 2 (yes I know people did day one), and my other 2 classes to 34 day 3. After that I ascended my extra warlock armor so I could mix up my stat builds when I wanted to. After that I still had etheric light to ascend fatebringer, VoC, Corrective measure, several snipers, my felwinters (lol), praetorian foil, and my pvp jolders hammer. I'm out of etheric light now but will get 13 more by the end of the week. You can get 15 guaranteed etheric light every week, so why is it so scarce for people?

Honestly there is too much access to EL via PVP however there needs to be optional matchmaking for Poe and nightfall and all the problems go away.

Great idea - nice to be able to move forward solo, regardless of scarcity/non scarcity from other sources. Maybe also be able to convert ascendant materials and exotic shards too in order to clear vault space?
