This Iron Banner is going to be a massacre
Seems a lot of players are going in just to get etheric light, but those needing it are exactly the ones that don't have maxed armor/weapons (that's why they need it) and are not too much into pvp or they'd already have it from ToO. To top it off, Bungie's notes state that level advantages have been upped a notch. It's not going to be pretty...
PS - yes, you can go in with one maxed exotic weapon, but level advantages will be more pronounced so a 34 with a 365 Thorn should win over a 33 with a 365 Thorn, all else being equal. Bungie said "Power still matters, and it matters a little more as the delta between two players increases", so I guess it will come down to what "little more" means to them. I'm calling it a massacre, we'll see.

Modificato da TraiN-RexX: 6/3/2015 7:21:33 PMOK, got to rank 3 in Iron Banner and my observations: pretty much standard crucible types in Iron Banner, some parties that were good, some that were average and some that were frankly bad. Laggy if you are in a party, not bad if you go solo. Sorry, no massacre (was a 33 for most of it and killed 34s no problem). Actually had a match with a level 20 in it (some name like xtoasterwaffle - blue armor and all) and he topped the leaderboard - he had no problems killing 33s and 34s.

I'm a level 32 and i've been carrying my team in iron banner for pretty much like 2 games.

Honestly I haven't been able to tell the difference. Im even wrecking those thorns. And im not good at PvP by any means. Nothing like a lil one/one synesthete.

It isn't that bad. I just played 6 matches on my Hunter that just finished Queen's Wrath. Only level 29 and I held my own just fine. My IB k/d as a 29 so far is 1.18. You do notice a slight damage difference on the 34s but honestly most of them are PVE players and not very good, which is normally what happens in Iron Banner. Most of your max levels are PVE'ers just grinding for the gear and Etheric Light. We had 2 34s on our team go sub 0.60 k/d every game, lol.

The damage "delta" doesn't really jump until level 29 or 30, otherwise it's pretty much a fair ballgame and considering everyone has a level 30 or higher now thanks to vanguard I guess it all comes down to weaponry?

I tell ya what.....I'm a .6 kd player at level 32. I did 3 iron banner matches before work today and feel like a God. I went 23 and 5 in 2 of them. So I love all the pve players there. I did the shotgun bounty quest for 25 more kills and assists in 2 games. It's great

I am doing it for etheric light because I don't do ToO and anything that involves finding my own team.

Im so excited. December's banner was the best because it was right after the dlc and the level range was bigger. In december I had more fun with my lvl 26 Than my lvl31.

There is literally almost no difference between a 33 and 34. Test it out. It's exactly the same.

I'm a 32 with a 331 pulse rifle and I'm wrecking a decent amount of 34 face. It's not that big of a difference. The big difference is between 34s and those under 30. I can definitely tell the 34s that are actually good from those that got carried through trials and are depending on their gear to win for them. I would be a 34 but without matchmaking for trials I'm not going to be playing it. Anyway, I feel like there is a rivalry between those with full iron banner gear and those with trials gear... and I like it!!

You would have to get past the scumbags that are cheating first, if your rounds don't register they won't die. Please keep your etheric light Bungie, the lagfest isn't worth it.

Im really bad at PVP (under 1.0 KD) but felt I was in god mode playing Iron Banner today. I was the only 34 for almost every match I played and was destroying the other players. All maxed 365 weapons. Fortunately my team kept loosing since I was the only one trying to capture control points.
