Qodron's awful mechanic, and Skolas Level 35 Arc Burn. Unless you burn them within 30 seconds, the difficulty is not at all worth the effort considering there are no checkpoints. The Raids have checkpoints, and these PoE missions take longer. There should be some smarter design choices when it comes to designing these levels that doesn't beat up on the gamer. Seriously, have you tried to play 35 Skolas by "exploring" the arena. Don't bother, you'll die within 10 seconds from mindless wave of enemies thrown at you.
And I'd love to see Bungie's team come out with a tutorial/guide video showing how they expected these missions to be completed, because it honestly feels like they don't bother checking how hard these are.
I play this game with my friends and love it, but after Level 35 Skolas and 34 Qodron, we've lost so much enthusiasm for the game, and feel defeated at the insane expectations of beating these unless you gjallarhorn or arc burn within 30 seconds, that we question the fun in playing this.
Something tells me they didn't really expect this to be the only way to beat these bosses, a 30 second spam-fest. (even then I wasn't able to complete Skolas Week 2).

EDIT:
Thank you all for the feedback and comments. Seriously.

Modificato da ∆LPH∆D∆WG: 6/5/2015 1:23:40 AMIt was quite easy to stomp all of them. Get a couple friends with ghorns to backpack you through the game man. It's just as fun to do it the actually ways as well. Game on man.

Bungie doesn't play test anything they have 2 million testers that pay them

16 RisposteENDGAME CONTENT IS SUPPOSE TO BE DIFFICULT. BUNGIE PROBABLY FEELS LARGE SEGMENTS OF THE COMMUNITY DESERVE A LITTLE IN GAME HARDSHIP. YOU WHINERS HAVE GROWN SOFT BECAUSE OF ALL THE CHEESE IN YOUR DIET.

Git gud

I know they have some ex-pro gamers that are hired on full time to test their games. They invite gamers in the area to come in and test their game all the time. You gotta fill out a survey and they will decide if they want you. My boyfriend gets invited like every week. Those bums never send me one lol. I'm over it now, just like I'm over this game. I swear they just bring people in their studio to rub their bellies and to tell them how good they are doing. They probably listen to their testers as much as they listen to this community.

3 RisposteFINALLY something challenging in this game
-
Same issue as always Wrong weapons or weapons not fully upgraded for new dlc Ce was same way Vog was the same you needed oracle disruptor weapons to make it easy Same thing once everyone is a 34 with the right armor and weapons you won't see 6 hour poe's Plus my thinking has always been if you can't get it done in 4-6 try's you have the wrong team plain as that Mostly i find it's the wrong team because of weapons Or Too low a level and they are not that good a player to survive
-
2 RisposteAt least its void burn this week
-
1 RispondiPeople done it, its not hard in either case if you have a good team Too many people been carried this far cant be carried any further by larger teams is the problem, it was fine when 2 went done at Atheon or Crota, it gets much harder when people go down in poe coz u lose a 3rd of your firepower and the enemies lose a 3rd of their targets
-
1 RispondiCongrats to bungie for making it a challenge, its not suppose to be a gametype you fly through

So I agree it's hard and without the right team it's almost impossible, but it has been set up to be beaten in a fairly specific way.... What did you use, your level 10 or your level 5 character;/

5 RisposteEvery boss is the same. The fights all suck and have too many adds, modifiers, bombs, detention, blah blah stupid !! Just walk out and burn them with gjallahorn and it's over and don't have to deal with BS. That's what we did. Each boss today was done in 45 seconds. It almost nice because it's saves me time. But the reward still suck. No keys. What a joke. And strength helmet. Lmao. Yeah no thanks Variks.

2 RisposteI have beaten him by running around a bit once on the arc burn. What we did was run far left and snipe him until the mines started then we would rotate together and kill the adds and get the mines. When that finished we burned him down and finished the last mine wave when he died. Surprisingly it wasn't too bad. Other times were WoL with arc efirdeets with field scout, with solar gjallahorn. Good luck!

3 RisposteComplaining about Qudron?! You definitely shouldn't play Dark Souls.

6 RisposteModificato da TkoR Demon: 6/2/2015 3:56:59 PMCan't speak on Skolas, I'm not wasting time on that until I can do full damage. They told us from the beginning it was made to be just out of reach for the most part. As for Qodron, and all of the challenege bosses, specifically on 34, you need to be able to balance handling their special mechanic while doing damage in an efficient manner (unless you nuke them immeditately). Get a patient team, practice the mechanic, don't be afraid to quit and try again later. Qodron specific, all of my successful strategies have involved going right side, locating/killing the eye 10-20 seconds after it spawns, grouping to drop the detain (Ice Breaker was my key for this, being the breaker). From there, you fend off the mobs/damage the boss, and repeat. It is highly recommended that the team is at the level of enemies, otherwise pateince will need to make up for the loss of damage.

4 RisposteThe Poe designer couldn't beat the lvl35 with 2 other players. Watch the Poe reveal stream to see what I'm talking about.
-
6 RispostePlease stop whining about the PVE stuff. I can't believe they nerfed Qodron after the weak players complained. Qodron was not hard at 34 last week with a little bit of strategy. Please just stop, finally they realease something challenging and all you people do is bitch. Go play Little Big Planet if Destiny is too hard..
-
1 RispondiQodron was easy...Skolas was a little painful but we just DPSd him. How's there a problem with that? There will always be the slow and fast methods Look at crota. You can time your sword hits to avoid ogres if you are good enough. On Atheon, weapons of light and 6 black hammers means 1 rotation through the oracles. Effectively these are the same thing as just blasting Skolas down instantly. No different.

1 RispondiI think the special dregs in the Kaliks boss have way too much health

Modificato da snafu2002: 6/3/2015 9:59:26 AMI agree, 34 last week was rediculous, the only way to beat it was to blow him up immediately using gallihorns. 35 was even worse. Out of our entire clan, only one 3 person fireteam was able to beat the 35 last week, after 4 days of previous losses (each day they would have to go through all previous 5 check points because of no check point saves). It ended up taking them 365 Efrideet's Spear arc burn with field scout on all three people, to beat it. Last night I tried 4 hour attempt with two of those same people and the closest we got was one round of mines, we ended up quitting last night. Honestly, I think the 35 would be very manageable IF the adds didn't spawn so frequently. If you aren't killing off adds constantly, the whole damn map will fill up with them. So we've tried a bunch of strategies, including trying to keep the number of adds down by killing them as they spawn and slowly hitting skolas, but after a while, the adds still overrun you. The only strategy that works for our clan is straight up gally's if it's solar burn, or Efrideet's Spear maxed out at 365 with what ever burn is going in that week. I'm going to max my void spear out with a an ethric light and hopefully talk my clan into helping me again, I still don't have a 35 under my belt, and only want one completion just so I can get the grimoire card, after that, I don't want anything to do with the 35, it is pile of crap in my opinion. I have not tried the 34 this week, we spent our entire night trying to do one 35, so I hope the 34 isn't as bad as last week. I'm a PVE person, I can't stand PVP, but I would rather do PVP over the Prison Elders, it is very depressing spending so much time and then get absolutely no rewards for it. At least with the raids we would get check points and rewards after certain check points, this is ass, 4 hours of a single attempt and not a single reward for it.
-
I agree. The arena concept itself is not very fun to begin with, add the tedious difficulty of those 2 challenges, not worth the time and effort. Specially when the rewards are just Ethiric Light to bring your already hard-earned gear up to date??? That's a joke. Sorry Bungie, you made a fantastic game, really great, and then you killed it with this DLC. Bye Destiny, it was fun while it lasted.
-
Haven't played it yet but it sounds brutal so bump to you sir!
-
6 RisposteIt should be hard but Arc burn Skolas LVL 35 was impossible. I didn't even do it last week.
-
Bump. I agree. POE 35 and last weeks 34 Qodron was not fun at all. 35 skolas solar 6 hrs, 35 skolas arc 4 hrs, 34 qodron 4 hrs. Who has the time to do these arenas? Its only a weekend thing for me and quickly becoming a NO THANK YOU! I love destiny. But those arenas need balanced.
-
Totally agree. These fights are stupidly annoying and need major nerfing and/or modifiers watched. Quadron nerf today helped a little, but with lack of eye appearing in time, overwhelmed by mobs (OP Hobgoblins with insane HP and hit harder than any boss in the game), and the insane amount of HP the boss has, it's just too much. If they don't want to work on the boss more then they definitely need to look into some add control. 10+ Hobgoblins sworming your team as you're trying to do hard mechanics in a short time is just plain dumb. makes it look a lot like they just threw basic spawn codes in these arenas and never even tried to balance them to make them doable within a reasonable time. nothing wrong with a little challenge but these just makes bungie look lazy or dumb. it's really sad. I'd love to see if fixed really soon, but we'll see.

1 RispondiLets face it, the whole "3 man team" mechanic doesn't work. All they have created is a bland knock off of games that were already released 10 years ago with HoW. At least this is freeing up my time to pay other games this summer.
