"You little." They both fell in the water. Aegis quickly punched Aries to wind him and swam up.

Aries recollected himself and grabbed the knife that stuck out of Aegis' leg. He pulled him down with him, trying to get above water first.

Aegis pulled out a gun from his holster and pointed a hand cannon at Aries as he swam up. At this range there was now way of avoiding it. Aegis didn't fire however rather continued up

Aries saw the gun but he didn't care. The water was flowing into his armor through the punctures that Aegis made. He was feeling heavier and heavier as the water dragged him down. He almost breached the top before his strength gave out and he slowly sinked to the bottom.

As Aries sank he felt something grab him. The person pulled him to the surface. Aegis dragged Aries to the shore and looked at him but said or did nothing

Aries didn't move or say anything. All that time trying to beat the weight of the water on top of him drained him of his energy. His gun was lost and all of his knives were lost in the river. He had no means of defending himself this time around. He finally found the strength to open his mouth, and a tired voice came out," Kill me if you want. Just make it quick."

Aegis spoke in a different voice. A kinder less hard voice. The voice he had when he was an ally. "You're a good man Aries." He dropped a sidearm by Aries and walked off.

Aries closed his eyes, knocked out cold. He lay there with multiple wounds on a desolate riverbed. The last thing he heard was unexpected to say the least. He forgot all about all the other guardians, and even about Aegis as his vision darkened.
