I think "The Taken King" should be next gen exclusive.
Go to 2:13 in the video and tell me that this this didn't get pulled out of the game because of last gen hardware.
Seeing that it will most likely come at the end of the year, it's clearly going to be a dlc preparing people for "Destiny 2". The next Destiny is going to be current gen only so why not start sooner than later. Everyone knows last gen held Destiny back which basically ruined the game (even though I still love it) So to get ready for the next game I think they should start releasing content exclusively for current gen.

For the next 10-15 years they will just release dlcs. Some large some small. (So far all dlcs have been small). Eventually last gen will be dropped.

The demo wasn't even done on a game console. It was all PC preproduction work. [u]It was all marketing.[/u] Anyone who thinks PS4/Xbox-One only is going to fix the limited resources and talent put into Destiny will be receiving a rude awakening in the future.

"The Taken King" won't be out until 2016 reportedly. And Destiny 2 probably won't be out until 2018 since they want three games to last 10 years.

It didn't. Space geometry in terms of computer mathematics is not built on MB download capacity. It's storage capacity. The in-game content being pulled and referenced for EVERY portion of the PvE patrol areas only pull the necessary component space being used at the time. Everything else? Goes to physical storage compartments until is called to the front because you accessed the area. Next gen graphical input used a separate but still minimal compiler process to ensure load times would be faster. That's all you get with new technology. Better storage space and load times typically. Graphical input is actually the exact same only because the process used to build it uses higher support functionality to represent the art better. After that it's your t.v.. So no kiddo. We will all go to that place if it becomes available in the future. If not? No worries. Destiny has a lot to offer already in terms of playable space...

Okay that whole 2:00 thing, makes wince to blame last gen. Till you realize this game was developed for last gen. Then you realize the potential both generations could have.

2 RisposteDestiny 2 will be on both gens, hate to break it to you. It is in the Activision/Bungie contract that the first 2 games will be on both last and current gen. We won't see a true next gen Destiny until the 3rd game.

It didn't get taken out because of old gen, it never existed in the first place. The guy obviously didn't know what the hell he was talking about. Fact is, Bungie is just giving us all the finger. Or maybe Activision. Probably both.

Just because you can glitch into a hollow shell of an area doesn't mean they cut content. If they need to limit something on old gens, they do. For example the graphics are worse and the vault thing. Stop with this stupidity.

Though it did hold it back, at least it gave those a chance that havnt upgraded to get involved. When Destiny 2 comes out as next gen exclusive hopefully the player base will follow, including funding for awesomeness:)

2 RisposteIt would be bad on Bungie's part to stop supporting half the community part way through the first game's lifetime. The second game? Sure it'd make sense that they would make it exclusive for next gen but dropping a good chunk of the community halfway through the current game is just stupid. Ever since DeeJ tossed last gen under the bus with the vault space thing its been ridiculous how quickly people turned to just dropping a part of the community so they can get a few extra boxes. If they make Taken King and the 2 DLC afterwards next gen only then the company will be missing out on money which isn't good for business.
