I think "The Taken King" should be next gen exclusive.
Go to 2:13 in the video and tell me that this this didn't get pulled out of the game because of last gen hardware.
Seeing that it will most likely come at the end of the year, it's clearly going to be a dlc preparing people for "Destiny 2". The next Destiny is going to be current gen only so why not start sooner than later. Everyone knows last gen held Destiny back which basically ruined the game (even though I still love it) So to get ready for the next game I think they should start releasing content exclusively for current gen.

They had too make it multiplatform in order to make as much revunue as they could and profit the most out of it....so saying it should be next Gen exclusive when this game cost a lot of money to make is basically saying "I'm gonna sell it to limited people knowing I would make more for everyone."

1 RispondiBecause "next-gen" games are so great and reliable. Remember Assassin's Creed Unity? Battlefield? Master Chief Collection? What makes anyone think that Destiny on the PS4/Xbone would have been so great? Hell, even Destiny itself at problems at launch. Point is, this may be the worse console generation in recent memory. Just about every AAA game is released broken and has to be patched. I think i'll still with the 360, where I go out and buy just about any game and have it work without a 10GB+ patch.

4 RisposteI think everyone should get every expansion from Destiny 1. Once Destiny 2 releases, I'm perfectly fine with it dropping last-gen; it only makes sense. But until then, I paid for this game and deserve a chance to play everything it has to offer.

The size of the levels is due to last gen and nothing to do with time restraints. They say so in the ride along on earth.

Im gonna wait to buy The Taken King until I see some reviews. But I do think it should be current gen. We don't need a replay of the unkillable PS2.

That makes no sense financially. The have the code and playable area just like he stated so why lose money. Both the 360 and PS3 are both going to stay online till at least Christmas 2016. So like I stated if you have all the resources why not use them to make money. The next game release or destiny 2 whatever you wish to call it will definitely be current gen.

I wish my grenades looked that awesome. Clearly this game was intended for nextgen.

It's in the contract old gen gets all destiny 1 dlc so expect it for all 4 systems.

5 RisposteThe Taken king and the other two small DLC's after that will be available on PS3 and Xbox 360. Destiny was originally developed for those systems to start with. Otherwise Destiny would of been exclusive on PS4 and Xbox One, Destiny 2 will be current gen, also Microsoft have said that come 2016 the Xbox 360 will not be supported anymore with new games.

And to the folks butthurt about potentially bein left behind on old azz consoles, if you're still on old gen in 2015 because of financial reasons, gamin and/or hobby shouldn't be on your list of things to do. Jussayin, dont cry some people can't afford...., NO!!!, they can't afford to be BS'ING around gaming, go get your finances in order and then come play Destiny on current gen with the rest of the world

Wauw seeing clips like these really help you see what Destiny was meant to be. This is why ppl are still not satisfied with everything thats in it. It could have been the best game ever made. Instead its a 7/10.

If you think about it. The end game is profit. And they would get more profit from having it on all consoles.

2 RisposteHe said is playable and hope we will play there sometime. He never said at launch or even in year 1. They reopened the beginning area which could lead us to that whole new area because if you did read reports its bringing a brand new area in The Taken King. So just because you think old gen should be left behind isnt going to change the fact that it still has life left in it. Even your next gen exclusives are using the entire capabilities yet so what lets make a new console and leave the new gen behind to so games can keep moving forward lol.
