Finally, I have been broken.
I have been playing Destiny since the beta. I started Day 1 when it launched and I've carried on until this point. I've graciously and willingly helped hundred of Destiny players through VoG, Crota, and too many Nightfalls to count. I've had all my real life friends move on to other games while I've continued to trudge forward, but why?
Clearly, it's been to spend 4 hours looking for 34 or 35 Prison of Elders groups only to be refused because I don't have a Gjallarhorn still. I'm not here to complain about not having a Gjallarhorn STILL, but rather to highlight the segregation that exists based on that weapon's power level.
I've contributed too much to other's game experiences to be held out to dry by RNG. This is grossly unfair and quite frankly, I'm sick the of the elitism that surrounds this one weapon.
Either nerf it or give it back to Xur. I've invested over 649 hours into this game and I'm still held over a barrel over one weapon. I'm demoralized, frustrated, and even more disappointed.
I've always wanted to love this game and it's community, but it's hard to do when my own love is never reciprocated.

My advice to you is join a clan brah You don't need gally to beat PoE, If you have competent players it's just a little practice. Try to join a PvE oriented clan,I'm sure there will be some people willing to run it with you. We're not all ignorant douches ;)

Agree totally this weapon is game breaking in terms of pve. It's way overpowered hence why they won't let xur sell it. The only solution is nerf it.

They either need to buff other launchers or nerf ghorn a little. Which I don't like.... But at this point PoE is basically impossible without two of them. It sucks

Because back then every forum post said to not buy it as it was crap, weak, and a waste of an exotic. An exotic rocket launcher was not worth it to the vast majority of the community at the time. People even said red death was better... even though back then red death was terrible. Next time dont listen to the masses and maybe buy it because it looks good and you dont have it. Thats why i bought it.

KrispPlum66 is the epitome of a dreg. The lowest of the low. I'm calling whoever this is out for booting me at THE VERY end of the nightfall. I mean a TINY sliver to go and I got booted. I was with the group the entire time. I honestly didn't deserve it. AT ALL. My stats were better than the third player and I messaged him. He didn't get booted. I followed up with a message with just one word; "Why?" No reply. Then I got more aggressive- without cursing, and voiced my distain with a following message. No reply. I'm just shocked at how entitled people really are. I'd NEVER do this if it wasn't warranted. Why ruin someone's day? To feel powerful?? What excuse is there? I realize this will get buried in the forums, but in case anyone is bored, maybe message this special someone for me and brighten his day, or at least try to avoid him. Whatever... I'm NEVER joining a group anymore. Host from here on out.

Took me about 3.5 months to get mine, day 1 player, got mine the day before Xmas eve from Crota lamp chest when you could still get exotics there. Then another from a legendary engram on Winters Lair strike on normal for a bounty about a week later, and another from a Roc strike the same week. No joke, about 2 weeks later, I "found" it on the level 14 Winters Lair strike. 4 in less than 2 months. I get a legendary engram like 60 percent of the time on that strike no matter the difficulty. Anyways, I feel for you cause I knew the struggle for damn near 4 months and I got extremely lucky when it dropped at that chest. I literally about shit my pants, and the dude I was with couldn't believe it either (we were just going to snag the chest by ourselves since our group wasn't on to run the full raid). 2 of the times I got it, I was with someone who didn't have it and felt like why would the game give me another one, when my teammate did just as much in the strike and didn't have one. Up to that point, I was only able to run VoG with close friends who didn't care if I had one but our schedules never matched up.

Man, I feel your pain. I've gotten ignored or kicked for that very reason. I have been blessed recently with the weapon and I have no problems getting into games. It is amazing on how many friend request's you get when you type "32 w/ maxed Gjallarhorn". With that being said, I don't discriminate nor do I judge people that haven't been LUCKY enough to get the boss killer. I'm willing to participate in any of the new PoE or Nightfalls regardless of what weapons they're using. I also have no problem running groups of lesser experience through Crota's end. I'm not to big on VOG, only because I never had to play it to acquire light level 32. Thanks Bungie :)~ " I do want the Vex and Fatebringer and will run VOG to acquire those weapons. If you have PS4, add me MolonLabe115. I play quite a bit, and I'm always looking for people to play with on a consistent basis.

8 RisposteHonestly I've never cried for the gjally. I think rocket launchers are shit overall and only ever use my truth for crota. Besides that I'm a machine gun user. Also I wouldn't waste an exotic slot for a heavy when I love my exotic primaries much more. I wouldn't be able to bring myself to stop using my red death. Gjallarhorn=Vault for me when I get it lol.
