Finally, I have been broken.
I have been playing Destiny since the beta. I started Day 1 when it launched and I've carried on until this point. I've graciously and willingly helped hundred of Destiny players through VoG, Crota, and too many Nightfalls to count. I've had all my real life friends move on to other games while I've continued to trudge forward, but why?
Clearly, it's been to spend 4 hours looking for 34 or 35 Prison of Elders groups only to be refused because I don't have a Gjallarhorn still. I'm not here to complain about not having a Gjallarhorn STILL, but rather to highlight the segregation that exists based on that weapon's power level.
I've contributed too much to other's game experiences to be held out to dry by RNG. This is grossly unfair and quite frankly, I'm sick the of the elitism that surrounds this one weapon.
Either nerf it or give it back to Xur. I've invested over 649 hours into this game and I'm still held over a barrel over one weapon. I'm demoralized, frustrated, and even more disappointed.
I've always wanted to love this game and it's community, but it's hard to do when my own love is never reciprocated.

I have one but still do this all the time because I honestly prefer other exotics. Gjallarhorn is situational, and it was fun, but got old. Exotic primaries FTW!

2 RisposteYou gotta do other things, hang with friends. They have moved on. Try the games they are playing. This game is not worth the grief it gives you. Its not even that good. Its ok . Id try the games my friends gave moved to or actually go outside more.

I got my first at 700 hours and my 2nd a few weeks after that, typical Bungie definitely needs to pull their finger out and Deej needs to stop being ignorant and let people know what he's doing. Are our concerns still being noticed? I don't see him post anything anymore and this is supposed to be a community type game. Shit like the Gjallerhorn not being sold due to them -blam!-ing up and underestimating the damage it does is not on. It has limited people being able to play the content they paid for, same with the other content like Raids. Trust me I understand your frustration but if they don't start communicating properly I don't think I'll give the game the time of day.

2 RisposteStop playing with players that already have it. Destiny's RNG is broken! The gjallahorn will drop for the person that already has it before dropping for you. Might be the reason destiny originally had trading options. I don't have one and I have close to 700 hrs as well, frankly I think I'll quit playing before I ever receive one. Especially now it's close to impossible to receive a key or eitheric light for me as well. The game is just not all that anymore especially if you have a life. Kids work hobbies etc etc who really has time to grind endlessly? Seriously when you think about it, how pathetic we must look sitting here playing for hours for what looks like the same thing over and over again, the same sounds as well. Summer time is upon us and it's time to get busy with our lives outside of the house anyways.

If you want to beat Skolas then this is the week to do it since you don't need Gjallarhorn for arc burn. Unfortunately you still need a pretty specific loadout.

Join a clan . Simple . You can't blame people on lfg asking for ghorn , it's their group request and their asking for a player with specific tools , probably to get something done quickly . Three ghorns are certainly not always needed and it's mainly mass overkill . If your in a clan you will get help from your fellow members . They won't care about your lack of ghorn and will use multiple strategies.

1 RispondiConsidering that I got mine in November before I had ever done a nightfall or raid, it is very unfair that some players might never get it. I have 1 VoG completion ever that took me 5 hours (on my first attempt I had the burden of having to carry Christmas noobs on their first try simply because I watched the raid on twitch lol) and 2 Crota's End completions and I have 4 Gjallarhorn. I've never completed Prison of Elders Lvl 34-35 and have not tried Trials of Osiris. I've also never reached rank 5 on Iron Banner (I mostly get lazy and tired of Ib by the time I reach rank 3). I'm the scrublord of scrubby scrubs, it's time Bungie reward some of these players. Take grimoire score, motes of light, strange coins, crucible marks, weapon parts and just give it to them!!!!
