Finally, I have been broken.
I have been playing Destiny since the beta. I started Day 1 when it launched and I've carried on until this point. I've graciously and willingly helped hundred of Destiny players through VoG, Crota, and too many Nightfalls to count. I've had all my real life friends move on to other games while I've continued to trudge forward, but why?
Clearly, it's been to spend 4 hours looking for 34 or 35 Prison of Elders groups only to be refused because I don't have a Gjallarhorn still. I'm not here to complain about not having a Gjallarhorn STILL, but rather to highlight the segregation that exists based on that weapon's power level.
I've contributed too much to other's game experiences to be held out to dry by RNG. This is grossly unfair and quite frankly, I'm sick the of the elitism that surrounds this one weapon.
Either nerf it or give it back to Xur. I've invested over 649 hours into this game and I'm still held over a barrel over one weapon. I'm demoralized, frustrated, and even more disappointed.
I've always wanted to love this game and it's community, but it's hard to do when my own love is never reciprocated.

We have a clan with over 200 members as long as you are over 21 you are welcome to join. Someone WILL take you in those POE's 34 or 35 (assuming your level 34) and many have Gally's (not me though) but still help the unloved.

I had 3 maxed characters before I finally got one out of the exotic chest.

This is where you failed, "looking for groups", when that doesn't work, just make your own.

3 Risposte649 hours isn't really that much. I have 1200 already and a lot of my friends have even more than that. Just grind the exotic drops (Gorgon chest, Atheon, Deathsingers, Crota, nightfalls, etc.) each week with your three characters. You can usually find people with checkpoints on lfg sites. RNG is such a bitch. I've been playing since beta, have three Gjallys and have taken several apart, but I couldn't get Thunderlord until about two weeks before Xur recently sold it (of course). You'll get it. My buddy finally got his just the other day. You just have to keep at it.

Thing is I completely get what you are saying as I know a few guys who are in the same situation - one of them is a bloody good sword bearer on hard crota. All this talk about earning a gally is bs. No- one earns a gally. I got mine after 5 months of playing - the day after my mate got his. Both of us had put in hours of game time. Within 3 weeks we both had 3 of them. My first 2 dropped from legendary engrams. Did I earn these engrams or were they rewards for all the nightfalls etc that I have done? Could've bought it from xur way back but didn't. I reckon you earn the Thorn, I earnt my pocket infinity X 3 because I had to do something that I knew would give me that gun. Solution to the gally prob would have been simple - make it a weapon that you have to earn. Reach a certain level in Vanguard or complete a certain grimoire level. Could make it retrospective to reward those who have put in the time! Good luck with it man.

I've not done 34 or 35 as I can't get etheric light or treasure keys for love nor money but I'm not sure 8d use gjallahorn anyway. Surely it's better to have your exotic in the primary slot as it's what you use most?

What do you mean give it back to xur? Xur has always had the ability to sell it.
