Seriously. I absolutely suck. I've tried watching videos, tried playing more, etc, but I just get absolutely wrecked.
I just tried trials and got absolutely destroyed. I WANT to enjoy PVP, but I'm terrible at it.
Edit: just went 0-3 in Trials. Yay!
Edit 2: I REALLY didn't expect to get so many replies! Thanks for not being nasty about it and actually being helpful. I'm always open to learning. If someone wants to actually get into a game with me I'm more than happy to absorb anything you have to teach me.
Edit 3: damn. 250 replies. I really didn't expect this to get any attention. I expected it to get lost amongst the "if you didn't get 9-0 in trials you are trash" posts. Thanks, guardians!
Edit 4: Wow. Almost 700 replies. I am amazed. I'm amazed that this got so much attention, since I really just posted it out of frustration at making a stupid mistake and costing my team a match (they got mad, yelled at me, then blocked me off Xbox Live), and I'm also amazed and how overwhelmingly supportive everyone has been. I really appreciate all the tips, everyone, and I'm taking them all into account. I'll be spending a lot more time in the crucible training. I know I'm still a noob and I make mistakes all the time. I'm glad these forums have decent people still in here, even if you're all lurking in the shadows.
Edit 5: Holy. Crap. 1000 replies. You guys are amazing :)
Edit 6: I'd like to thank the few guys I ran Trials with today for getting me to the Lighthouse. I know it must have been tough, and I didn't always hold my own very well, but I tried hard, and I feel like I got a lot better because of it. I don't want to put your names because I don't want you to get slammed with messages like you did earlier. Again, thank you :)

PvP is something you are either good at or bad at. No matter how good or bad you are at the campaign, PvP is way different.

Rumble, I think.

Nice...you made it to the lighthouse! Congrats

Use thorn.

1 RispondiModificato da Darches: 5/31/2015 3:17:04 AMI got Halo: Reach and it was awesome. I played for like a month and became good, like I am now. They said, "noob, I've been playing for years!" But it doesn't matter, for I am always the victor. If I didn't lag all the time. I think a fast internet is more important than skill :/ One time, my parents paid for a higher tier of internet and I became practically unstoppable. But that was the past :(

Practice makes perfect!!

1 RispondiI dunno, for me it just happened

5 RisposteGo into control its the best all around training for it. The challenge try and get as high of kill streak as possible, it means you know when to hold back and let them make a mistake... Like charging WHILE firing a shotgun... From way out side the range
that guy got a tbag
1 RispondiI hear ya man. I suck at pvp and I'm committed to being pissy all next week and actually completing the iron banner this time around.
-
If you want to do good in not trails use truth you're always going to be positive
-
2 RisposteIf you wanna do good in pvp then use a shotgun. If you wanna get good at crucible and actually acheive ultimate skill level then dont use the shotgun or fusion rifle, if you challenge yourself with different guns then you will be killing those shotgun idiots in no time

PvP isn't really as intuitive as it seems. It's not just about gunplay, the key to pvp is being able to be at the right places at the right time and to do that you have to be able to understand the flow of battle. I'm a mediocre PvP player and that's because when I started destiny I sucked at PvP. My KDR is suffering because of that (It is also suffering because of my illogical obsession with no land beyond), that being said I kept playing and I've tried new techniques and I've gotten better. Just remember practice makes perfect... and here is a little montage to proof that I don't suck THAT much: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uuu5E2gdH6k

2 RisposteLagging is the way to get better at PvP.

5 RisposteStep 1: Use Thorn. Step 2: Win. There ya go.

1 RispondiAs I'm sure most people have posted. PRACTICE! I've played Halo 1-4 and COD for countless hours to get as good as I am.
-
3 RisposteHow to get better. Git Gud. For real though, practice makes perfect. Start with team modes like Control, slowly move to solo modes then, like Skirmish and Rumble.
-
3 RisposteLol good that you don't have to deal with those teammates anymore. They sounded like jerks.
-
2 Rispostethorn, last word, vex. Take your pick

2 RisposteFirst I'd look at what class is your "best" or main class. Build armor, weapons and perks around your play style and practice it. Playlists such as Clash are good to go into and execute plays. Individual Crucible Performance isn't all about high score, but also being fast and having a strong IQ for the game. Like I've seen in many posts, practice makes perfect, but having the ability to adapt and play smart can come sooner, rather than later. I'd like to hear what class you play with to maybe give some advice if you want it. Cheers!

1 RispondiDon't ever play alone. Crucible is a blast with friends. You'll get better without even realizing it.
