Is destiny alienating it's single player base?
I'm a level 31 hunter with more than enough exotic and legendary weapons to take out any enemy. That is until HoW Bounties dropped. I have given up on the first bounty already as it is physically impossible to complete without a fireteam which I do not have.
The game has now passed me out due to the fact I have no buddies online. I feel a huge sense of alienation. While players with big groups of friends will progress through HoW, I'm left with nothing more to do than grind through repetitive strikes and weeklies to pass the time.
I feel like I'm back in school again :(

Bro this isnt true. Im the same i have a clan but 99 per cent of the time I go it alone. I prefer it. Its rare I find a Wolves event that im the only one there. Even I am just use Arc and if you dont manage to kill em dont worry. Its nothing major. Chill bro

2 RisposteJust cause your not going to the recruitment page to run content your blaming bungie? I have 1 friend that plays destiny and I do both hard raids every week and I'm a lone wolf player. This was the intended design for the game. Your CHOOSING not to do the group content. That's on you. Theirs nothing at all stopping you from doing the raids.

Change the attitude and you will attract more friends. This game is totally social. And poe ans weekly have matchmaking. No excuses, stop being antisocial and then accuse bungie of being alienating

I'm a lone wolf player myself. It's taken a long time to get this far and I've missed out on doing raids I am not good enough to solo nightfall. How ever I seen to always find a knew goal to set for myself or just try to get better in the crucible. One day I will get off my butt and go to the site and try to join a fire team. But till then I find plenty to do somehow.

What system? my psn is twvance Having said that, you can definitely solo HoW bounties. You just have to save the scorch cannons until the end if you are solo. Take out the first 2-3 waves and your weapons and supers, then use the first scorch cannon to wipe out the second-to-last ship and all the adds of the final ship. You can use an arc weapon to take down the shield (if they have one), and then you can chain the scorch cannon charges (only to one charge - the shield regenerates after the first charge).

I've done all the bounties solo. If you're not lvl 32 get faction gear. At least thats a guaranteed lvl upgrade. I feel like 32 was high enough lvl to get the job done.

Yeah I've done the bounties on my own their is always a group around just be helpful I even got my neighbor a key and he's 26 two other guys nurses the bounty so he got the rewards even though he couldn't damage them

It's alienating its single player base because: - ToO is finally a PvP endgame activity (because of rewards schemes and such), and they made it fireteam only. Guys could do fine in Iron Banner without fireteams, could do fine in regular Crucible without fireteams, and yet they've forced the fireteam thing in this activity. - There is no higher level boss to beat, no 'Nightfall' thing in PvP. Make fireteam optional in ToO. There are more randoms than fireteam it would seem in Destiny, so matching random against similar should not be a problem. As for you HoW bounty thing, dude just go to any of the spots and hang around for few minutes. There are always guys camped around so you shouldn't have any problem.

Why did you give up on the queen bounties? They're so damn easy. Just go to the area solo and fight. There is usually at least 3 other randoms doing the same thing. If you are by yourself, having more than enough exotics and legendary weapons should be enough. Search the recruitment forum and add people like you who are also looking for people to play with.

Go to LFG or the Recruitment forums and add people from there! Literally 90% of my friends list is people of the forums and LFG, I raid with them a lot and I'm actually pretty good friends with some of them now.

Make friends man, just because you do not know someone IRL does not mean you cannot have them on your friends list to play with, also there is tons of ways to find players thorugh the Forums and LFG. The game has always in a way been designed around playing in a fireteam but in till now game modes other then VOG have been easy enough to do with out a team. I like the challenge.

It is possible, I am in the same boat and lvl as you. I actually would rather play alone so I can go at my own pace but there are times where I wish I had friends online. If your on xbox one add me up and message me if you need help. I am on most nights gamertag is display name

Use mostly arc damage for wolves. It can be done. Save scorch cannon for tough bosses.

Why not check recruitment on the forums you obviously have plenty of time to post and dont say its impossible cuz I never post a level limit or gun limit just need x amount of players

Dude, there are a ton of ways to play with people, like the recruitment threads on these forums, the lfg website, you can even send messages in the tower. You'll find people to do stuff with
