"Dungeon Deserted" - Punishment for abandoning strikes
Honestly, I'll keep it simple. Other games have a sort of debuff called dungeon deserter that is applied to you for abandoning your party that you joined randomly in matchmaking for a mission. If you leave, you are not able to use matchmaking for 30 minutes. I wouldn't go so far as to suggest 30, but I'd say 10 minutes is solid.
If you leave a strike you just did matchmaking for, you are not able to use matchmaking for ANY strike playlist for 10 minutes. The same should apply, as a SEPARATE DEBUFF, for crucible abandonment.
I'm tired of doing ROC playlist with 2 people. Almost EVERY time.

1 RispondiThere is so much wrong with this idea. 1. You get kicked from server. 2. Strike list repeats same strike multiple times in a row. 3. Two players you're cast in with either start running circles or sparrow kill you. 4. You are pulled away for a personal emergency. 5. The strikes are ridiculously easy to solo. The list could go on of course, so let me just say, "no". Bad idea. Anyway, in most cases I wish the match made players would just leave anyway. In my experience they more often than not are either afk or griefers.

How about leaving match made activities more than 3 times in an hour causes you to not be able to matchmake for 10 minutes. I'd hate to get disconnected from the servers and not be able to play for 10 minutes over something that wasn't controllable.

No because it punishes legit players. Instead of punishing the player Bungie needs to improve strikes all together. I think if a voting system or someway to forsee the next strike less people would bang out on load in. Or if some one leaves let others jump on mid game or something. They could fix this in many ways but don't seem to want to invest the time.

I would leave a strike, so that I could finally do a playlist solo. It's now optional matchmaking

Before they do this. They need to figure out the strike system. Last night i got omnigull 5 times, 3 times in a row, and phogoth 4 times. And mars 3 times. I got the nexus and archon one time. How the -blam!- does that work out

Its a game stop making it a job. Since it is teen rated it is intended for a younger audience. Plus some people do not like all the strikes. They are not that difficult, you should have no problem two making a strike. You could always go MM again if you want three players or wait for one to spawn in.

To everyone moaning that "real life happens". It's only a 10 minute suspension OP is proposing. Actual "Real life" reasons will likely take 10 minutes anyway. This will primarily stop serial AFK idiots.

1 RispondiWell what if the person in question had a legitimate reason for leaving? Such as they got invited to do a raid or something simpler such as the pizza guy rang their bell? It would also have to take into consideration people who lose their connection like in a power outage or the dog knocks out the plug to their system.

If i get into a roc and there are people sitting at the beginning not moving im out. I never get anything out of them anyways except crap to turn into armor mats. I dont even care if im matched with blue geared players as long as they try.

No. If real life happens I don't want to be punished for it. Maybe if after 3 times the debuff could be better.

I feel my idea would be better an a soultion. Add a setting which would have matchmaking or not. Sometimes i like doing the weekly by myself sometimes not. Sometimes yeah ill go into a stike to complete a bounty or mission and leave. Is it my fault bungie made it matchmaking. I do understand what you mean. Kind of shitty to just leave people. However getting the same strike over an over. An i mean the same one right after you just did it. Ofcourse im leaving.

I'll leave because afk or or people that move just enough to not get kicked. I should be penalized? Think before you post! The latter has been more prevalent, especially with level 32s' that don't think they need to contribute.

But if I've got to wait 30min I'll probably just go do something else. Also if people are leaving for legit reason a 30min lock out most likely won't affect them. However the game would need to be able to differentiate between leaving and getting kicked by some -blam!-ing animal error code.

Or prevent the player that left no chance on an exotic til he completes his next strike.

2 RisposteModificato da Acucio: 5/13/2015 11:29:16 PMIn final fantasy xiv they have a similar penalty but its at 30 min. 30 min is definitely better than 10 as far as discouraging people from doing that but the real problem is people being afk or dieing on purpose constantly or in an area that will take long to clear to reach them. That issue needs to be addressed first since there's nothing you can do about them but leave yourself or allow the leech get rewarded for doing nothing.

1 RispondiI disagree. Sometimes players leave once they realize it's the same strike they've played 5 times in a row. Some players have to leave quickly for many other reasons, and they don't want to sit afk for 5-10min.
