I've always wondered how many people truly believe in one of the most famous theories ever. I've always also wondered why people believe in it. Just an experiment. (Yes I know what it is and how it works)
Edit: Wow 50+ comments! Keep it coming!
Edit: Holy crap 100+! That's ridiculous!
Edit: 200+! Never gotten this far!

Kind of. I think we have the concept down but we are missing too much information for the theory to become concrete. It's the best theory out there so far though. Whether or not you believe in it doesn't matter. There is physical evidence via microwave radiation from the big bang, a large expansion certainly happened but I don't think we have all the pieces of the puzzle yet.

1 RispondiHere's the thing. In the last few years when they discovered the god particle, they soon after observed that it was very probable that there was one massive explosion, one huge bang that shot from nothing to create our universe in the blink of an eye, only milliseconds. I am a believer in God and I translate this as one possible theory of God's creation of the universe. For those who don't believe in God and put their faith entirely in science, it is still a very interesting phenomenon to study.

I made it...

I have the first 3 seasons
-
I honestly don't know, but the whole "God waved his and and bam universe" thing is total bull
-
The universe is said to be expanding and at some point I think it will reverse that process and all smash back into where it started and begin again who knows it could be cycle

2 RisposteWhere did the matter come from???

6 RisposteThis is for Christians and atheists (or anyone in general) when God said let there be light, could that not have been the Big Bang theory?
-
3 RisposteI Wish it didn't exist. That show is cancer
-
No, not since Penny cut her hair.

1 RispondiModificato da CYW Nightmare: 5/13/2015 3:06:21 PMYes because like a nuclear reactor a atom must have split and exploded creating beast mode and that's how babies are born

11 Rispostehttp://www.dailydot.com/geek/big-bang-theory-universe-may-have-existed-forever/ It's possible that it's wrong. Some scientists are now saying that the universe and everything in it has always existed and never had a beginning.
-
God spoke, BANG!!! It happened.

2 RisposteModificato da IMAGE NOT FOUND: 5/13/2015 3:40:42 AMYou can't believe in the Big Bang. It's not a belief to be believed in - a great body of scientific evidence from different disciplines points to it being the correct origin of the universe. Unless new scientific evidence comes to light, it'll remain the correct origin You can believe a light crossing the sky is an alien spaceship, you can believe your neighbour is a murderer, you can believe vin diesel is a great actor - but what these need to make it fact are empirical proofs

Prepare to be humbled and weep at the glory of my genius.

5 RisposteLaw of conservation of energy cancels the Big Bang theory out

Yes best tv show ever *BAZINGA*
-
Of course it exists, the season just ended though... Sheldon is the best.

I do believe in Big Bang theory. I've spent 10 years reading up on various subjects including cosmology, astrophysics, string theory, quantum theory, grand unification theory, Big Bang theory and plank era theories. I understand the history of the universe from the microsecond it began through to today and it's been verified at every step of the way. After reading what I've read, I can't see it happening any other way.
-
Yeah man Sheldon is hilarkos
-
No, because reality is not based on belief.
-
I believe in miracles. Where ya from? You sexy thing.
You sexy thing, you.
2 RisposteI'm an atheist, and I don't believe the Big Bang theory created everything. I do believe that there was a MASSIVE explosion that compressed matter to the point of being planets and stars. We have found shockwaves (don't know the technical term for these) which are proof of a large explosion.
-
2 RisposteWe still don't even understand how light works, we will never be able to comprehend the vastness of the universe or how it began
-
Best show And there's evidence for the big bang so I do believe it

1 RispondiI don't understand why we need to know where we came from while people are killing each other in the name of God. Why can't we just respect eachother first.
