Hey everyone, was just wondering how many people on these boards invert the y axis when they play a fps like Destiny. I know I do. I'm not sure why. I figure way back when I played some shooters a la Goldeneye and Timesplitters that had inverted look and got used to it from there. If there's no invert option I'm not going to waste time trying to play that shit - it's just too annoying. Some random indie game on PS Plus they've got for free right now had "regular" look locked in and I deleted that bullshit post haste.
Out of curiosity, give me an age when you respond. Are old weathered turds more likely to invert? I asked my clanmates this question several months ago as they are all ancient and most of them didn't. I'd like a broader sample size so thanks for reading and responding.
Edit:thanks for the responses everyone! I'm 44 myself. If you're old or wizened-at-heart and in need of a clan and you're on ps3 or ps4, check out Rise of Old Dudes. Even though most of those ancient dorks don't have the common sense to invert.

Modificato da Aries_Slays: 5/14/2015 12:08:27 AMI have to be Inverted. I can't play any other way. I'm 23
-
Ew! I could never play inverted trust me I tried
-
If you invert an 'upside-down cake'... Do you get a cake?
-
I play inverted as well, 31
-
21. Never liked that. There were a couple games on original Xbox where I put up with it because I didn't have a choice. I think 007 Nightfire was one.
-
1 RispondiI used to play inverted, then one day I picked up the controller and I couldn't control it, had to play non-inverted ever since. It was the weirdest thing, like my brain just switched all of a sudden.
-
Only invert up and down IF IM FLYING A PLANE in the game
-
I'm 20 and never have.. Unless it's battlefield and I'm flying lol
-
Allmost 30 and always inverted, allways will
-
I always play default but if there is a game where you get to fly some sort of plane or spaceship I need inverted
-
I'm 15 and I don't invert

I recall the days when inverted was normal and that was the only option. But my days of recalling things correctly are long past. A commenter noted how they imagine moving the characters head with the stick. I never thought of it like that as I am a plane: I played mostly flight sims. So, those that play normal aren't imagining moving a head or flying a plane, but simply moving a cursor/reticle around the screen as with a mouse on a PC. I wonder if that makes one more twitchy and a better FPSer, what with possibly less brain pan activity. Or perhaps more? Perhaps, they use their brain more economically without all the imaginations and, that allows some to be playing 3D chess while I'm playing checkers. This is my brain. This is my brain on Destiny.

3 RisposteNo but I invert x and z axis
-
1 RispondiInverted since Zaxxon
-
Timesplitters though, haven't heard that in a while.
-
I've always inverted the y axis for as long as I can remember. I'm 25 now and have played goldeneye, etc. It feels extremely weird if I don't invert it and I pretty much can't play haha.
-
That's none of your business and I'd ask you to stay out of my personal affairs.
-
Inverted and very sensitive. Everyone I play with is the opposite, normal axis and average or low sensitivity. And yes, I'm better than them because of it.
-
2 Risposte21yo I always play inverted. I picture the analog stick as the characters head, push it forward head moves down. Pull it back head moves up.
-
Always and I'm 46.
-
28 and I've played inverted since Halo CE. I think of it in terms of a gun, head, camera, etc. When the back of said object goes down the front goes up.
-
In games where I fly yes but the rest of the time no
-
Feels unnatural without inverting. I can do without it though. I'm 15 btw.
