Hey everyone, was just wondering how many people on these boards invert the y axis when they play a fps like Destiny. I know I do. I'm not sure why. I figure way back when I played some shooters a la Goldeneye and Timesplitters that had inverted look and got used to it from there. If there's no invert option I'm not going to waste time trying to play that shit - it's just too annoying. Some random indie game on PS Plus they've got for free right now had "regular" look locked in and I deleted that bullshit post haste.
Out of curiosity, give me an age when you respond. Are old weathered turds more likely to invert? I asked my clanmates this question several months ago as they are all ancient and most of them didn't. I'd like a broader sample size so thanks for reading and responding.
Edit:thanks for the responses everyone! I'm 44 myself. If you're old or wizened-at-heart and in need of a clan and you're on ps3 or ps4, check out Rise of Old Dudes. Even though most of those ancient dorks don't have the common sense to invert.

1 RispondiI'm 20. Been playing inverted since I was probably 9 or ten.
-
Signed and 22. My logic with how I got started was old ps1 shooters n 3rd person games. Think of it this way if you don't use inverted: you pull your head back to look up and push your head forward to look down.
-
24, inverted since ps1.
-
1 RispondiYes. And bumper jumper
-
1 RispondiI absolutely cannot play default, I must play inverted anything else is madness. I think this stems from Goldeneye and Perfect Dark? 28 in June

Modificato da RouxPanzer: 5/14/2015 6:20:25 AMIt really depends, if its been years since I've played inverted I play however. If the last game I have played was inverted I may switch to that style. It really just depends. 25

3 RisposteNo, I'm not broken. Started shooters with Doom and have played though the best. Never once had any confusion with not knowing how to look up or down xD Your move, joystick-heads.

1 RispondiModificato da Johnny_Robinson_: 5/14/2015 4:15:23 AM30 - Always invert the Y. Goldeneye made this a rule.
-
1 RispondiModificato da NathanJonesJD: 5/14/2015 3:25:38 AMAce combat 4 ruined me forever. Now I play everything inverted. Age 25
-
1 RispondiPersonally I like to invert the z axis. Only scrubs play with a non-inverted z axis.
-
I only play inverted in flight combat games. Outside of that, there's no way in hell I'm inverting that Y.
-
3 RisposteYay timesplitters. Pew pew cheat codes ftw
-
Goldeneye got me too
-
6 RisposteWhy is inverted a option?
-
1 RispondiI invert. Pull analog stick back it feels like I am tilting my head up. Push the stick forward, then I am tilting my head down.

19 y/o here. I never invert the Y axis, unless Im playing a plane simulator. I play how it's done in real world. in FPS games, the stick controlls where I look so up means up. When playing a plane sim, up means push the stick forward, which leads the plane to do down.
-
Modificato da Legoburn: 5/14/2015 12:57:06 AMI don't, though I'm actually the minority in my family full of pilots. Edit: 18.
-
24, it makes way more sense inverted.
-
Modificato da Shmeediddy: 5/14/2015 12:38:19 AMCan't remember the year when I inverted the Y axis but I love it. I think it was around Y2K I picked inverted
-
Last time I inverted the Y she bitch slapped me. :(
-
Inverted (Green Thumb?) Age = 22 Got used to Inverted as a kid while playing Perfect Dark. The helicopter controls just made more sense to me back then. It feels a lot more comfortable when you think of the joystick like a lever.
-
23, inverted. First games I ever played were flight sim/combat, I can't not play inverted now
