Can you get the crux of crota without having glowhoo?

2 RisposteYes. I'm the evidence. I don't use Glowhoo ever, it's ugly as sin. There is [u][b]one[/b][/u] requirement for receiving the Crux of Crota: Complete Crota on Hard. (And get lucky with RNG)

Now, if you are asking if you need Glowhoo equipped to get the crux then no, that is a rediculous thought and I got mine while never wearing that ugly shader.

I've never heard of anyone getting crux on their first playthrough, which would technically be the only way to not have glowhoo. Both crux drops i have gotten were while wearing other shaders though

5 RisposteI delete my glowhoo everytime I get one. Which is every week(damn thing is as bad as the timebreaker).I dont have the space for that crap. I finally got my crux like two weeks ago.

Yes. I got my crux (two dropped on the same crota kill, someone else got the other) without glowhoo equipped. The other guy didn't have it either.

Technically yes but u need to have completed hard with that character before crux will drop

You can get it without having glowhoo, as long as you have one hard completion on that character. You don't need to have glowhoo equipped though.

Don't need to have it. I watched my friend get it his first hm clear. I still haven't gotten it to drop for me though.

If you get Glowhoo on your first Hard Crota clear, and you can only get the Crux from clearing Hard Crota, then technically no, you can't. You don't, however, need to have Glowhoo equipped to obtain the Crux.

Modificato da RedDragonJedi: 5/11/2015 4:08:26 PMThis was a huge deal the first week that hard mode came out, as no one got the crux the first week that hard mode was available. People were pissed. Bungie later explained that the loot is designed to always drop Glowhoo if the player has never gotten it before on that character, and that Glowhoo and the crux are in the same spot in the loot roll. However you can only get one item from that loot roll so if you are forced to get Glowhoo then you can't get the crux that week on that character. Edit- one person guessed that this was the reason and moved Glowhoo between characters once he got his first one, and was able to get the crux to drop. He had Glowhoo on him tho. Edit 2- you do not need glowhoo equipped to get the crux. In fact I'm pretty sure you can delete Glowhoo and still get the crux. Once you've gotten it once the game knows.

No you have to have obtained glowhoo But you don't need it in your inventory or equipped.

Yes, once you beat HM once, you get a chance at the crux. No need to wear the shader on your next attempts.

No you can't but if you have it and don't have it equipped you have a chance at getting it

Yes. It is completely random and glowhoo doesn't increase nor diminish the chances of a drop.
