I really think guardians would win...Spartans are some crazy awesome super-soldiers but how could they possibly survive a nova bomb or a golden gun or any of the abilities?

Collapsing stars wipe out planets. Nova bombs wipe out a few square meters. No comparison there

Until they bring out some in depth lore then I think the argument should remain on gameplay. As unfair as that sounds if a nova bomb can wipe out planets then earth is dead a million times over from all the Warlocks in Russia alone and I'm pretty sure that doesn't end well for the guardian let alone the spartan.

Again, you can't accurately compare gameplay. Its a matter of opinion, its like comparing apples to oranges. Besides obviously the damage is contained from a nova bomb.

See but that's the thing it's either got the power to wipe out planets or it hasn't. Either way for me it's in the Spartans favour as cool as guardians are one on one Spartans just have better training and more ways to counter a guardians super.

You've only been a bungie.net member for a year. Correct me if I'm wrong but that isn't enough time to fully experience Destiny AND halo. I've been a bungie fan for well over 4 years, have been a fan of both games, and can surely judge who I know can win a fight. Your guardians could maybe kill Sgt. Avery Johnson.

I made this account this year but that doesn't mean that I haven't played all halos, read nearly every book, and seen nearly all movies. So don't try to judge a book by its cover.

Because warlocks could easily liquefy a Spartan and he has no defense against that.
