So I read these forums and start to get a bad head from all the my kd this, you didn't earn that, I deserve this, and no raid that.... I tried to think of an easier time during the snes and mega drive era when to get a super weapon or final armour you actually did earn them rather than rng or have to pay for dlc.... which then brought me on to thinking of things I miss (or do not see anymore) from my childhood.
I thought maybe a good little topic to get away from the childish haters of destiny would be to share what we all miss from the days before social media or games consoles became such a massive part of our lifestyles.
So ill start by asking what happened to white dog poo? When I was a kid it was everywhere but I never see it anymore

1 RispondiBest thread I've seen it a long time. .. anyone have the robot that came in the NES launch with gyromite? That moment you found a hidden block in mario. .. My best memory was running through the house to wake up my brother after finally beating xeromus in Final Fantasy II (IV, I know) so he could see the ending.

4 RisposteMy fist console was an NES when I was 7, and the funny thing is I don't remember asking for one, but here I am 27 years later having owned approximately 90% of the gaming systems that have came out. Gone are the days of watching the original teenage mutant ninja turtles, G.I Joe, masters of the universe, Thundercats and the original nickelodeon. I remember the hardest game I owned was super C, still to this day I have hard time beating it

Only being able to by 2 player games for the mega drive because me and my bro shared it. So much false advertising on the cases them days saying 2 player

I think rumors were better back in the day. All word of mouth, no Internet, and somehow everyone still knew about it. "Go to Vermillion City. Use surf by the docks and find the little spot with a truck. Use strength and move the truck. Mew is in a ball under the truck." I still hold B when trying to catch a Pokemon. Now it's just, "Don't open the spirit bloom chest!"

I remember being a kid and it was different somehow.

Going over to a friends house on a Monday and watching him play legend of zelda ocarina of time and making his way through the great deku tree. Come back about 2 weeks later and seeing him making his way through the giant fishs belly and complaining about how hard this game is . Good times . We were only about 11-13 maybe at the time . Took him over a year to beat that game .

They certainly dont make decent kids movies these days. Back to the future, Goonies, Ghostbusters, Gremlins.....

Remember when character skins/costumes were rewards for beating the game/stage and not sold.

1 Rispondi64 here. I have been playing since the introduction of Coleco Pong in 1976. I have had many game consoles, Commodore 64, PS1, PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One. I play with my youngest daughter (22), her boyfriend, and my eldest daughter's fiancée (29). Unfortunately for me, they are too good and refer to play PvP whereas I prefer PvE (reaction time is not as quick as the younguns). As for raiding, they dragged me through VOG once in 90 minutes, and I haven't a clue what the hell we were doing. I just shot at anything that moved, including some of the fireteam members. I spent more time being revived than actual playtime. I just love Halo and Destiny and try to play for at least an hour each day. So, good for you madforitlint.

While we're all reminiscing here, does anyone remember a wizard of Oz cartoon from ohhhhh say 25 yrs back? It seemed like a really dark take on it and I've never been able to find any info on it. It intrigued me as a kid but I was very young. I know it's a long shot but hey if anyone is gonna remember it it's you guys
