25 years and older gamers
So I read these forums and start to get a bad head from all the my kd this, you didn't earn that, I deserve this, and no raid that.... I tried to think of an easier time during the snes and mega drive era when to get a super weapon or final armour you actually did earn them rather than rng or have to pay for dlc.... which then brought me on to thinking of things I miss (or do not see anymore) from my childhood.
I thought maybe a good little topic to get away from the childish haters of destiny would be to share what we all miss from the days before social media or games consoles became such a massive part of our lifestyles.
So ill start by asking what happened to white dog poo? When I was a kid it was everywhere but I never see it anymore

My hours of exploring on the original legend of Zelda. Trying to find secret caves. Then going to school the next day to brag to your friends how you found some cave by burning a bush. And that they found something. You'd swap information go home and start up the game to see if what they said was true. Pretty much 100% the game thanks to my friends.

It's funny, I'm 19 but feel the same way. Even some of my friends are wayyyy to serious about gaming. I miss the fun and nostalgia.

33 RisposteI just turned 60 and have played video games since they were invented. I think I have had every console. I was most addicted to WoW for about 5 years on PC. I remember my little kids laughing uncontrollably as they sniped me in 007. Family Christmas was at our house and a dozen or so of us would play Mario Karts from sunrise to midnight. I have fond memories of Mario, Contra, Sonic and many more. My sons and I still laugh at how terrible my wife is at video games. The only game she ever liked was Elevator Action. With about 40 plus years of gaming experience I will tell you Destiny is top 5 for me lifetime. I have three 32's and play all content. I loved Battlefield for PvP but am adapting to Crucible, though my 8 year old grandson played my account too and ruined my K/D (Yes, I am blaming the kid LOL). He has his own account now. Several times, me, my son in his 30's and my grandson have formed a fire team. It's so cool for me to see three generations playing the same game together. So, enjoy your game, whatever you play that makes you smile, just take time to build some fond memories with friends and family along the way. Oh, and make time for real life too! Peace.

2 RisposteWhite dog poo existed because back in the day commercial dog food was primarily made of animal meal (ground up meat and bone). Dogs digestive systems are very efficient at digesting animal products, so not much gets excreted except for left over minerals. The chalkiness is caused by the high calcium content from the bone meal. Today, dog food is made from cheaper grain fillers - the worst of which is corn. Grains are not digestible by dogs and generally pass through providing little nutritional benefit, and leave behind high-volume stools as a result. If you feed a dog a whole-animal raw diet, their stool is very compact, doesn't smell, and it turns white and crumbles away after a few days. I feed my 75lb pitbull a raw diet and his stools are smaller than what my neighbors Yorkie puts out.

13 RisposteI think the problem with younger gamers is that they can get people to help them out online, Google, YouTube, phone a friend, where as us older gamers were closed off from the world working things out ourselves, I particularly remember spending months on God's for my amiga 500, oh & remember almost infinite levels on space invaders & asteroids on atari it just kept going getting harder & harder

1 RispondiI think that white poo existed back then because there wasn't any doggie bag laws back then so anyone could let their dogs take a poo and it would set out in the sun for months. I miss classic RPGs. I also miss passwords. But comparing games then to now is a no brainer. Games now are way better, yet somehow not as creative.

1 Rispondi27 Don't get me started on old school games. I extensively played Ninja Gaiden on NES and this game would punch me in the nuts, swallow me and then sh*t me out again. But I freaking loved it!

4 RisposteSpending hours after school playing football (English) in the school yard.. Fishing in the river (humber) as kids sleeping in a tent trying to catch a cod. I'm 33 and my first console was an nes. There the thing we got up to before gaming took over the world.

No saved progress in old games. You had to write down and punch in a code to begin at the level you left off at last

Or fighting in the arena with hard earned items to get as much genji gear as I could in FF3. Trying to get all 108 stars in Suikoden I & II BEFORE guides were readily available online. Finding all the health containers and health powerups, then learning from a friend who heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend, that you could get haruken for Mega Man in Mega Man X. The good ol' days when games were HARD. And back then, you didn't play for HOURS on end, cause your SNES would overheat and delete your save, so you went outside and searched for white dog poop. And snakes, and rode your bike down hills with no helmet. Shot arrows straight up into the air and played chicken to see who'd run away first.....days gone by.
