So I read these forums and start to get a bad head from all the my kd this, you didn't earn that, I deserve this, and no raid that.... I tried to think of an easier time during the snes and mega drive era when to get a super weapon or final armour you actually did earn them rather than rng or have to pay for dlc.... which then brought me on to thinking of things I miss (or do not see anymore) from my childhood.
I thought maybe a good little topic to get away from the childish haters of destiny would be to share what we all miss from the days before social media or games consoles became such a massive part of our lifestyles.
So ill start by asking what happened to white dog poo? When I was a kid it was everywhere but I never see it anymore

2 RisposteWow, thanks for the memories. 42 here and played on the original Atari. Had pong, PacMan and spent many quarters on Asteroids. Those were the good old days and kids nowadays don't have the same appreciation for things as we older gents do.

2 RisposteModificato da WreckinBawl: 5/10/2015 4:05:56 PMI'll be 47 right when House of Wolves drops and won't even go into my gaming legacy. The one longstanding memory that comes to mind is playing baseball all day long until lunchtime and starting up again and playing until dark. My life was basically The Sandlot until high school. Then I learned the joys of cycling and Breaking Away started to hit far closer to home (I actually lived in one of the houses in the opening scene for a while). There's a great big world outside the front door, don't spend all your time in front of a screen. Love the post about grass stains!

Let's see....I miss going to the music stores. The mom and pop stores. Shopping for music and looking thru the albums...tapes...CDs. I'll give them money and they will give me something in return. Something iTunes doesn't really give u that experience. Me and my boys would go for hours. Such a great experience. That's what I miss the most. Same can be said for games also. Sorta why I havnt gone all digital yet I guess.

Going to the bowling alley for some kid at schools birthday and spending the whole time playing on the Final Fight arcade. Got sick of telling people I didn't care if I missed my turn that shit was amazing!

1 RispondiDarkness level 40 here. I started with a Sears video game console at home that had pong and a simple breakout type game on it. Quickly moved on to an Atari 2600 at home and the favorite game at the local pizza shop was Renegades. What happened to finding out that the girl you were into was single again when a buddy came running over or actually called you on a rotary phone? Then you'd try to be the first to contact her by either riding your bike over to her house or, if you were cool and a little older, driving over to see her. Were'nt none a this "relationship status - single" notifications followed by a "how u doin?" Message from your mobile communications device. We actually had to go over to SEE that some other jerk had already made it there to C-block you. :)
