Thorn poison non lethal in PvP
Before you go ape shit please consider it.
Make thorns poison non-lethal in PVP. Don't nerf it's damage, ROF, or range. The poison would still damage players but would no longer kill you.
It would be an interesting compromise.
I don't care either way but thought of this a while ago

Amount of butt hurt in this post is too damn high. People only read the -blam!-ing title and nothing else. I knew better than to expect a decent debate but it's just "DERRE YOU SUCK THORN IS GOOD DONT NERF IT DERRRRE" instead of talking like a -blam!-ing intelligent adult, oh wait I'm on destiny forums why in the -blam!- did I expect anything different lol.

3 RisposteIf you did this I expect all poison, flame, Arc, void, etc etc to all be removed. Again, with the Thorn hating. I played Control last night and there was a Titan with a Thorn. I was using a non upgraded Legendary Auto Rifle, as I was getting it azure level up, and out of meeting him in game I came out the better and got the kills most times. I think he killed me once and I got him about seven times. If your not willing to change the way you play or learn different strategies to beat another player, or weapons, maybe this game isn't for you. This isn't like COD, run and kill. There are weapons stronger, weaker, hard to use to make the game more competitive and using your knowledge and using strategy will help you win.

The thorns fire rate is simply too high for its impact. honestly hand cannons in general are all overpowered in the PVP. The poison effect is bad, but thats not entirely why the thorn is overpowered.

Nah that's one of the perks you can't nerf one perk and not others it's like saying cluster bombs on hunger shouldn't kill you

good idea OP. make the poison stop damaging before you usually die from it. so many people would struggle to get kills with it then.

Just make the suros what it used to be and it'll shut out the thorn and tlw. The suros actually took skill.

1 RispondiI don't understand why the thorn's residual damage is a big deal. When I've used the thorn, the poison only does about 30 extra damage... It does 7 damage about 4 or so times.

Dump post and anyone who agreed. The whole purpose of the gun's existance is that it is Thorn and has a DOT. Most MMO type games have DOT attacks.

4 RisposteAh, no. Buff autos back up pre last patch so the can compete at mid range. Thorn is only really usible at mid range. Close range gets you in shotty/TLW country. Long puts you in scout. Abuse your corners, or keep open line of sights. That second head shot takes time to land, use that to your advantage.

12 Rispostesome guns are ment for pvp, some are not. as soon as a gun is good in PVP these forums explode with rage. just use the good guns. it's not a hard concept. if a gun is ment for Pvp, it should be good at it. but if you bring thorn, TLW, or any of those top tier PVP guns into PVE, you won't have as good results. those guns have incentive to obtain because they're good at what they were designed to do, which is make you cry

5 RisposteWhy are people here comparing supers with a weapons perk...it's apples and oranges people..the idea of making it non lethal sounds good..poison slows up the target immensely and you have to finish them off with another shot

I dont let the poison kill them. I let them hide and use my AP sniper to kill, i use the dps for target reference
