Not sure if anyone here has seen a defender Titan bubble come up and instead of saying "Stay Away", like 99% of the other supers, you go "Yay, free triple kill".
So where is the Defender Titan's fourth golden gun shot? Or his exotic that gives him the ability to fly and give him extra super range?
"I can blind people that come into my shield".
Yes and I can Fist of Panic, Nova Bomb, Golden Gun, and Blade Dance my way through your shield in half a second without batting an eye.
So how about some upgrades, the bubble shield needs some additions to make it either more useful or even deadly. All of these should be in the same tree, so pick and choose which one is best for you, and what sacrifices you are willing to make.
-Super Immunity, biggest thing probably for PvP, a bubble is 250% useless to almost every other super in the game right now, even a Sunsinger can duke it out and put up a winning fight inside your own bubble, and if you are one of those morons who takes Blessing of Light or Weapons of Light in PvP, you will loose 9/10 of the fights over your own bubble shield. So let's even the odds for a class that has no where near the offensive abilities as the other classes.
A perk that makes the Defender Titan's bubble immune to enemy supers, using your super into a bubble does not burst it. Running into the shield even disables your super, negating fist of panic and even allowing you to tactically negate Sunsinger revives.
-A moveable shield, the shield's life span is halved but it moves with the defender Titan that activates it, this PvE and PvP perk has the most chance for utility, reviving teammates in Nightfall and Normal Raids can now be done with a noticeable degree of ease and safety.
-Two way shield, shoot out of your shield with medium calibre weapons. This here done right can easily balance the deadly aspect of a Defender bubble shield, with a dual purpose in PvE and PvP. To balance this, you can't shoot large calibre weapons through the shield while inside of it, heavy weapons and sniper rifles having rounds too big to pass through the shield.
-Threat detector shield, at least be able to identify who is and who isn't about to turn your shield inside out with ease. Enemies are highlighted whilst you are inside the shield, enemies with a charged super glow bright gold to categorize who and who isn't the biggest threat, this could easily be used in PvE as a tracker, as enemies of the light will appear through walls rather than relying on line of sight.
TL;DR version: Defender Titan is practically useless in it's support role, it needs buffs.
Edit: So I noticed a general consensus that Defender Titan seems to be quite the power house in PvE. What has been pointed out isn't new, but then again isn't necessarily broken or totally useless. I guess this is now more of a PvP discussion.
The suggestions above should not be taken literally. Also if you have never played Defender Titan in PvP or never played a Titan in general and come up with phrases like "Get better" and "You just don't know how to play", keep that crap to yourself and simply add something constructive, or you'll be treated like the pubescent you are.

8 RisposteEasy solution for Defender bubble. An exotic armor that gives an enhancement - if a bubble is destroyed it explodes like a shreiker and follows enemies.
-
1 RispondiIn pvp you can see when someone has a super by their name tag
-
3 RisposteYou have to look for it, but a guy posted a strategy for Defenders. Use WoL with a high impact sniper like the LDR. A hit anywhere on your opponent is a one hit. Also, bubble placement is key. Don't cap zones with it. Don't throw it out front. Place it in an area where you and mates can dip in and [return] to the action rather than in the middle of the action. Ran a match with Defender this morning and my team wrecked with my WoL bubble providing support. No one just chilled in the bubble waiting to get Nova bombed, FoH, etc. Generally, Defender doesn't need a buff. The bubble users strategy is what needs a buff, lol.

It would be nice if the bubble started to turn red as it runs out/takes damage.
-
Fist of panic outside with the energy wave perk all dead if you do it right it's s super backend just do it outside

1 RispondiThe Titan bubble with helm of Saint 14 is a beast in crucible, mainly control. Put the bubble down with armour of light on a position and you are basically unstoppable, every subclass has its advantages and disadvantages
-
Sorry mate, but you're doing it wrong.
-
1 RispondiStep 1. Learn your subclass Step 2. Play your subclass the correct way for the activity you are playing Step 3. Stop being bad at fps Step 4. Stop complaining
-
1 RispondiHave a look at True Vanguard on youtube and watch his defender titan build and game play. I personally dont like the defender for pvp unless im playing with a group of mates. When i solo run most people ive encountered tend to use the bubble completely wrong

Modificato da Dacrota: 5/11/2015 3:34:18 PMMaybe an exotic that makes the bubble opaque so you can't see in from the outside. It would be pretty funny to see someone nova bomb, fist of havoc, etc. to find no one inside. Just a thought!

4 RisposteNeeds a transparent shield perk badly. Transparent: Friendlys can shoot out of bubble for a *limited amount of time.
Works just like artifact in VoG. No grenades or rockets allowed.
*time depends on how long the caster holds transparent. This would have to work like showstopper. It consumes a lot of time remaining on the supercharge.

You almost were making a good point until you claimed that using Blessing of Light in PvP is moronic. Defender Titan doesn't fulfill its support role? Maybe you should try using the support perks...
-
You must not know what you're doing because that gave me cancer

Doing it wrong

I think it is Great in Control. Pop the bubble on Zone B, equip your Helm of Saint 14, equip Armor of Light, and go berzerk with a shotgun. Its great

2 RisposteModificato da GigabyteZ3r0: 5/11/2015 5:33:23 AMGotta disagree mate. Titan bubble is pretty awesome in both PvP and pve. It is not the best solo subclass for sure, but it is still pretty awesome.
Not sure if anyone here has seen a defender Titan bubble come up and instead of saying "Stay Away", like 99% of the other supers, you go "Yay, free triple kill".
Only super people stay away from are golden gun, blade dancer and a lower extent sunsinger. That is ... 50%. On top of which is I have a heavy drop, yeah I'm killing that 50%. No the same with the bubble.
During a Nightfall strike or raid, bubble goes up, and a stray Ultra wanders into your shield and either kills you in two shots and an instant follow up melee hit, or forces you out of your shield into the fifty million dudes waiting outside.
Sounds like craps bubble placement.
If you have or have not used Helm of Saint-14, I'll have you know it is utterly useless except for PvE.
It is pretty brutal in PvP.
So where is the Defender Titan's fourth golden gun shot? Or his exotic that gives him the ability to fly and give him extra super range?
Glass house? No backup plans? Both valid options for a defender other than st-14.
"I can blind people that come into my shield". Yes and I can Fist of Panic, Nova Bomb, Golden Gun, and Blade Dance my way through your shield in half a second without batting an eye.
And the same is not true of other supers?
So how about some upgrades, the bubble shield needs some additions to make it either more useful or even deadly. All of these should be in the same tree, so pick and choose which one is best for you, and what sacrifices you are willing to make. -Super Immunity, biggest thing probably for PvP, a bubble is 250% useless to almost every other super in the game right now, even a Sunsinger can duke it out and put up a winning fight inside your own bubble, and if you are one of those morons who takes Blessing of Light or Weapons of Light in PvP, you will loose 9/10 of the fights over your own bubble shield.
You are indeed mad with syphilis. The defender class is a support class, and extremely usefully in all game types. Weapons turns snipers into final round snipers. Bless and armor increase durability, to all team members smart enough to use it. Not to mention you auto drop min 2 orbs ... Every time, a aspect that people over look. That is a huge help to team mates. You want to stop other people's super, suppression grenades. A unbreakable bible would be too overpowered, as it is a decent titan with a shotgun is a dangerous man in that bubble. While I get when you are coming from, and think those would be cool. They are just to out of the character of a defender.

6 Risposte>See angry warlock or Titan running at your bubble >Assume they're going to super you >Throw suppression grenade >Watch them panic like a deer in headlights when their super and jump stop working >Punch their sorry head in >Continue capturing B >Profit

This could seriously work. Keep up the good ideas
