I believe a Christian muffler shop owner should have the same right to refuse service to a gay couple, as a gay lifeguard has to refuse service to a drowning Christian.
However the lifeguard would have to save the drowning victim. But I'm just pointing out that it's quite ridiculous to not serve someone just because of what sex they like.
Just a reminder: Letting a straight couple into a cafe and then not allowing a gay couple is discrimination.

8 RisposteOf course they have the right to deny gays. I would never give a service to someone who is hardly a person.

If I own a business I want to make money. Bring me every gay person on this side of the Mississippi and I would not care. Imma be rich. And who cares what people are. They don't care about people being straight
-
That's discrimination

6 RisposteModificato da beowulf 678: 6/6/2015 12:33:30 AMIs my business private property? Then yes. I should be able refuse service to black, white, gay, straight, people who are carrying guns, and people who I don't like. Doesn't matter. Freedom is moot on private property. But 90% of businesses are not going to refuse service to anyone because they are in it for the money.
-
Businesses should be able to refuse service to anyone.
-
It's not right. What happened to everyone is equal? People treat gay people the same as dirt, it's not right.
-
I would think there are some customer we should definitely be allowed to refuse to serve. The dude who switched price tags then demands to be allowed to pay the cheaper price. The lady who waits until her entire order has been rung up, and only then begins to rummage in her bag for her purse. Anyone carrying their change in a shovel purse. People unable to understand the concept of the express lane. Really, I think Christian stores that get gay customers who just want to come in, buy something quickly, then leave, should just thank Jesus F Christ for an easy sale.

2 RisposteYes they should be able to choose I wouldn't serve gays. Its my choose.
-
They can refuse service if they want to. It's just that they won't survive long. A gay life guard can choose not to save someone. But it just won't end Well for them.
-
to have a right is one thing, to act upon it is another. in this day and age, a business has to be inclusive in order to survive. if shops only served white heterosexual men, they wouldn't be in business for very long at all.

7 RisposteBunch of idiots on this forum. Of course you have every right to refuse service to anyone for any reason, or no reason.
-
2 RisposteIt's their store/service. They can do whatever they wish.

6 RisposteI absolutely hate it but I think that a private business should have the right to refuse someone for any reason they like. What will end up happening is two rival burger restaurants will be right next to each other. One serves gays, one doesn't. Let's pretend that a family of five is taking their gay son to the burger joint that doesn't serve gays and they get refused. They'll walk across to other other place and give them the $50 they were going to spend. With the gay rights movement gaining more popularity, more people would boycott the anti-gay restaurant, causing it to go out of business. TL;DR Yes, they should be allowed to but it's a terrible business decision.

2 RisposteThe life guar doesn't own the beach like the guy owns his shop lol

Where in the bible does it say you can't be gay? I'm a theology major so I'd like to know ;)

Only if they wanted to get married in the Christian's church. Letting people do what you consider to be immoral is one thing, them forcing you to participate is another.

Religion. Great

7 RisposteModificato da RTags: 6/5/2015 8:25:16 PMEveryone has the right to refuse service. However, if a cop decided not to save a gay man from getting killed or a lifeguard refused to save a drowning Muslim, the consequences will be severe and more than likely be considered man slaughter. If a shop owner denied a gay couple service, the consequences would be less severe.

2 Risposte
I believe a Christian muffler shop owner
what is a christian muffler? how does it differ from a standard muffler?
-
If they truly beileved everything written in their Bible and followed all the laws of God I'd say yes. However they pick and chose which things they like and dislike about the Bible so no.
-
11 RisposteA homosexual lifeguard not rescuing a drown christian is the worst comparison. You aren't gonna hurt yourself! Jesus! Just serve them and leave it! Aren't you meant to live everyone, even if they are sinners. If that's the case, you're going to hell.

8 RisposteI vote no. This is one of the many reasons the western world laughs at America.
-
2 RisposteAs an agnostic Christian, I couldn't agree more. It's like a conservative refusing service to a liberal. I simply don't think people should have the right to deny service unless they have a REAL reason to do so.
-
9 RisposteGod loves everyone... Except gays, non believers, sinners, .... Should I continue? Religion is s joke. Anyone who uses religion as a excuse needs to learn the term the U.S follows, it's called separation of church and state. If you want you religion to play a part in laws, goto Iraq. They have a national religion jointed government. Look how far they've gotten.

It is my place of business you walked into and I have every right to deny you service because I pay to run the damn place. If you don't like that than move on.
