I believe a Christian muffler shop owner should have the same right to refuse service to a gay couple, as a gay lifeguard has to refuse service to a drowning Christian.
However the lifeguard would have to save the drowning victim. But I'm just pointing out that it's quite ridiculous to not serve someone just because of what sex they like.
Just a reminder: Letting a straight couple into a cafe and then not allowing a gay couple is discrimination.

A business owner should have the right to refuse business to anyone for any reason. Turning down customers their demographic is extremely stupid but if they don't want the business then so be it.
-
16 RisposteDepends on the service. If it comes to wedding cakes and requests that violate their beliefs? Absolutely. Don't like it? Don't shop there. Attempt to demonize them and well....look at how well that worked out for memories pizza. (AKA, it backfired big time.)
-
2 RisposteAs long as the reverse can be done as well (I.e. Business owners refusing to serve religious or straight people) then yes.
-
Just a reminder of wat dey do wen dey dunt go 2 services

1 RispondiRefusing someone because of being gay contradicts Christian beliefs.
-
1 RispondiModificato da Sapphire: 6/7/2015 7:07:52 PMSure, it's their business. But they're still being an asshole. And people should have the right to refuse service to people who are against gays.
-
3 RisposteThe business owner reserves the right to refuse service to anyone that walks through their doors. Although, if they choose to refuse service to gays specifically then it's their loss. The business owner seems like a bigoted douche and the homosexual gets to be the victim again.
-
1 RispondiBy next year Homosexuals will have the right to be married everywhere and everything else. What is the point of posting these types of posts? The majority of people on here will probably pull some religious bs comeback to it plus the off topic forums are voting for nothing that will not make a difference. Like Kony 2012 crap that didn't help anyone. Does anyone else miss the posts that were just hilarious and not about gay rights or religious views?

2 RisposteUmm, #Atheism4Life?

I do not believe an individual should be denied service because of his or her sexual orientation, however Christian businesses should have the right to refuse services such as hosting or serving same sex marriages. Bedsides it's their loss of money anyway.
-
You should be able to refuse somebody if you want, that's less money for you though.
-
1 RispondiMoney is money though?
-
You should have the right to refuse anyone. Still doesnt mean your an ignorant idiot though if you do. I also hope that other people see this and refuse to do business with your shop.
-
the US was formed on religious freedom. so i say yes, if it is against their religion. I am a Christian but i would not deny service.
-
That's just bad business. Turning away a paying customer is just idiotic, not only that but you run the risk of social media blowing up and no one wanting to be affiliated with your business and being labeled a bigot. Just suck it up and treat everyone fairly. The only reason I would refuse business is if the customer didn't have the green to pony up.
-
Screw that.
-
Just a little trend I see in this thread: Comments that say you should use better grammar than those who say you shouldn't be able to. Honestly didn't expect that.

Private business, yes.

20 RisposteModificato da Green Arrow: 6/7/2015 7:04:29 PMYou have the right to refuse anyone as long as you are the business owner.

"Hey man, I sell really nice .. that you'd love, but you're gay so that's too bad!" So ridiculous.
-
Honestly no, their human too. So they are attracted to the same sex.. Who cares? I surley don't. Everyone deserves to be themselves not what others want them to be.
-
I think it's f***ed up to refuse service because they're gay. (Or black or whatever) I can't comment on religion, you're not supposed to force them. But still. It also makes you look like a shithead and you're basically driving away paying customers.
-
You shouldn't have the right to refuse service to anyone who isn't causing a scene or being obnoxious. Your race/gender/sexuality has nothing to do with money or businesses
-
As a christian, I can say that refusing a gay person services in a store isn't a good way to show that you're a christian. Maybe an inspiration message instead of hate?
-
10 RisposteRefusing service to a gay is honestly so stupid, for 2 reasons. 1. You just lost money bc you wouldn't serve someone 2. They're still human so why would you give a shit who they are attracted too.
-
I think you should have the right to pick who you want to serve. However, it is stupid to refuse service to someone because you just lost money and will probably get a bad reputation
