. . . the color black. A lot of the time I'm running through crucible or slapping Rahool in the tower, I see tons and tons of guardians wearing Dead Orbit's class item. The majority of people I've asked say they're doing it for the shaders that DO offers. Those shaders being a mix of black and white.
I personally have to ally myself with the Future War Cult.
So why are so many players attracted to Dead Orbit? Is it the guns? The armor? Or the fact that everything is black?
Edit: Wow I didn't expect this to blow up overnight with nearly 300 responses. A lot of you make good points about going for DO shaders. Destiny tends to give us a lot of shaders that make us look like depressed clowns and it would only be logical to go after shaders that make us look good for once. I can't wait for the HoW shader so. Especially the third one that Petra will sell.

4 RisposteModificato da Rhadamanthus: 5/3/2015 2:28:56 PMSame reasons Zebras wear the Dead orbit shaders. In PVP dark shaders make you harder to identify. They break outlines and act as camouflage.

1 RispondiI like to look stupid! Sunsetting!

Put simply the dead orbit shaders go well with any and all gear namely class item. Color theory and all that, it's definitely more challenging with other shaders. As for gear to where, there isn't really much choice at the moment.
-
1 RispondiBecause they might be basic colors, but they stand out, because there are currently only 4 shaders besides chatterwhite that are black or white, and look amazing on all the different classes
-
Favourite color man. All black everything.

i thought you were gona say naimoi kyle

2 RisposteBecause Black is the angstiest color. Why go with a faction that has meaning an usefulness like FWC or NM when you could go with a bunch of angsty circlejerkers who wear black and "just wanna go back home".
-
I prefer NM and their shaders.

It's more 'badass' and 'mysterious' oooOoOoooOOOooo

Goes with more cloaks

It's a common theme in games to have a black shader they always tend to be most valuable when they can be sold on auction houses for exmaple. God knows why, emo's maybe?

12 RisposteBandwagon I hate being a part of the majority and like being 'different', so I've sided with New Monarchy
-
Because black makes your fat ass look skinny, that's why.
-
1 RispondiI have two of the FWC shaders and they kinda look like crap. I guess they look ok on a hunter, but terrible on the other two classes.
-
When the dlc comes out, im wearing no shader, new monarchy helmet, dead orbit gloves, and future war cult legs. And of course the armamentarium
-
Bittersteel makes me look like a stormtrooper from star wars.
-
I level all 3 factions.
-
In my opinion it's because that is the only way you can get a black shader. There are so many shaders that have blue, red, green, or tan in them but nowhere else in the game can you get a black shader. My two cents.
-
I'm with future war cult still even tho I already got the shader I wanted and the ship from them.
-
Green orange white and blue are my colours.

Modificato da Enryu369: 5/3/2015 2:45:21 PMMy warlock is self-conscious about his weight black happens to be very slimming. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )

I went with fwc as well. I have all the shaders and my only complaint is that the shaders dont look good on all the armor. There are specific sets it looks good on, but unfortunately its not any of the level 32 armor. Once HOW comes and we can mix and match, I'll be fly as hell.

In 2015 everyone is an Emo-kid we just don't realize it cause it's the norm.

Dead orbit is the only one I don't use

Black shaders make you ninjas
