Thorn is getting nerfed.
It's happening. Thorn will be nerfed and I don't disagree. All you whiners got just about every other good weapon nerfed and Thorn is next. And I'm happy about it! In fact, it'll probably be a hand cannon nerf as a whole.
Sure, I can out gun a Thorn user a lot of the time. But all it takes is two shots on target and then they run away and I'm left to burn until I die. No stopping it. Even if I kill the user, I'll still just keep burning. More often than not, when I'm killed by Thorn, it's not the gun itself, unless I'm already weak, it's the burn and the wielder is half way across the map by then.
The Hand Cannon time to kill is ridiculously low compared to other guns. Nerf inbound and I don't want to hear any bitching about it. I kept my mouth shut when every other weapon class was slapped with a nerf. All you Thorn whoring players better do the same.
Edit: Thorn was nerfed! Yay!!

I hope not hc nerf overall. 3 hs kill with a legendary handcannon at that slower rate of fire is totally okay. I love rocking my red hand 9

1 RispondiWhy should they nerf HC in total!? The only problem is thorn, and if you ask me, it's mainly the range that should be drastically cut down. If 60% of players use one gun in a pvp mode, then something has to be done! But all other HC are fine!! So god damn bungie, leave them alone!!!

The recoil is insane and its only accurate for its first shot so yes if you consider being able to hit someone in the face twice with a high recoil gun over powered than find something else to complain about such as the last word or something. Not to mention that countering the thorn is pretty easy. make an original post next time tired of seeing these useless complaints

Thorn... Hmm... Such a sensitive topic in these forums. A bunch of people don't want it to be nerfed and the others trying to get it nerf. Is it OP? Is it just fine? The appeal of the gun have to be a confirmed 2 shot kill with 2 crits. With that kind of appeal, many people will start using it. That is where the problems comes IMO. When there's a lot of people using Thorn that's where the problem starts. I suck at PvP and rarely play it. I just play for fun and I like to try using other guns. All I want to see is variety in the Crucible. And if all we see is Thorns in the crucible, something must be rebalanced. It could be nerfing the Thorn, it could be buffing the other guns. But remember this. Call of Duty always have the issue regarding Time To Kill (TTK) . I personally prefer Treyarchs' because the TTK is just nice IMO. You still got time to escape if the enemy's aiming is not on point. If they buff the other guns, my only fear is the TTK would be a little to fast for anyone to enjoy. And this will happen for sure. A player will kill a Thorn User and soon dies after poison. Due to the fact that the buffing will be balanced with the DOT of the Thorn in mind. Just my thoughts about the Crucible right now. Feel free to burn me if needed. I know how this forums can be like. Whenever someone tries to open up a discussion, they got shot down with dumb "git gud" response, comparing of stats and other demeaning response.

You also didnt mention the fact that it only 2 shots if both are crits and even then about 3 seconds after that is when they die
