...from hero to zero in one week. Last week’s announced changes made just about everybody happy & then you went ahead and revealed Trials of Osiris. You alienated a ton of PvE gamers by not allowing matchmaking for Raids and Nightfall’s, including me (hate me all you want for having never done a raid), & now you’re doing it to the PvP players. There’s absolutely no reason not to have matchmaking for Trials of Osiris, it’s just a standard elimination mode gamers have played a thousand times before. Can anybody here honestly say that they've never played an elimination type mode in Counter-Strike, Gears of War, Rainbow Six, COD, Socom, etc? All of those games (and many more) were able to successfully incorporate matchmaking, why not Destiny? Will you inevitably be put on some bad teams while facing off against skilled fireteams? Yes, but it should be our choice to do so as solo gamers. If Bungie really wants to create a closed off game mode for the best of the best, maybe they should listen to the players and finally add private matches for them to participate in.
I can’t help but think Trials of Osiris is just a lazy attempt by Bungie to artificially create more end game content by doing as little work as possible (let’s be honest, ToS is just skirmish without the ability to respawn), and they’re making us pay for it! Personally I was hoping for a PvP mode with random modifiers each week. For example, one week maybe its control where only solar weapons cause damage & there are one hit melee kills, another week it’s combined arms where only sniper rifles & vehicle kills count, maybe another week it's elimination (which should be a free mode considering the lack of game modes) where you only have one clip of ammo, etc. Then again Bungie would have had to actually put some work & thought into a new mode instead of just rehashing skirmish.
I know I never post on here, & inevitably people are going to tell me to quite complaining & go find a fireteam on LFG, but I just had to vent. While Destiny’s gunplay and loot system has been incredibly addicting, I can’t help but think Bungie keeps going out of their way to disappoint me. I really hope they don’t make the same mistake with Prison of Elders; otherwise the Destiny season pass will have officially been one of my all-time worst gaming purchases.
Opinions?

I'm just going to point out that there will be a regular Elimination playlist with matchmaking. Meet two people there and take them into the Trials with you if you have to.

Too long Did not read

Maybe you wouldn't need matchmaking for nightfalls and raids if you got some friends!

Modificato da JayMac: 4/30/2015 11:46:56 AMLol so you dont have 2 friends? Maybe rather then playing destiny should join a social group or two. They arent asking you to form a 6 man group, its 2 people, any 2 people of thousands that play this game. I can tell you right now, i dont want two random scrubs i gotta carry through another pvp, i do that enough in crucible

2 RisposteThere's a whole #Recruitment forum for you to use. Stop complaining and make some friends.

Someone's booty hurt.

Do you enjoy matchmaking iron banner? Most likely not, I don't even attempt to go in solo because it's not fun at all. The whole point of TOO is to bring teams together to consistently play competitive matches, matchmaking would destroy it. The trials would suck.

8 RispostePeople just don't understand that you might want teamwork huh? Interesting. You know what I do when my friends aren't on? I go to LFG where I can get an invite within thirty seconds of posting on the board.
And I'm on the minority console, Xbox 360.
1 RispondiGoing into trials solo is just like going into iron banner solo against a clan. Basically a guaranteed loss
-
I would never want to play skirmish with no mic randoms, especially if a lose can be the difference between getting an awesome gun or armor and starting all over. I wish I could post some audio clips of what I heard yesterday being in game chat for iron banner. "One shot by thorn FTW!" "-blam!-in stick that secret handshake in your ass!" "Lags witch mother-blam!-er!" It's all garbage. I don't want to have to try and communicate with kids raging like that. I've met enough people over the last 8 months to string together a team of 3 with taking a chance on randoms.

1 RispondiModificato da ZeroReload: 4/30/2015 11:19:37 AMI'm part of a clan with a solid mature playerbase and we never miss out on anything. We farm raids and have plenty of PVP groups. But I totally understand the OP's issues with Destiny. I also understand what Bungie is trying to achieve by 'forcing' people to become part of a group or clan. Do i agree with Bungie? Absolutely not. There are plenty of people out there who have no interest in becoming part of a group or make new 'friends' on a multiplayer platform. If i was one of those people I would be raging mad! Bungie is alienating players, hence the dwindling playerbase of Destiny. People want a choice. It's the same with everything in life. The fact people have little choices left these days and especially in our current economic climate is bad enough. Computer games are an escape from a sometimes harsh reality. I think Bungie just missed a few tricks there and will lose player trust if they don't fix this issue soon! Bad call... Give people choices.

I've never player an elimination mode....
-
Well its skirmish. Its alot harder to carry that 25 gets put on your team in skirmish than control. Also, its not that hard to find a group either
-
THE SAME GAME MODE IS ALSO BEING SEPARATED OUTSIDE OF TRIALS. IF YOU HAVE NO PRE SET TEAM, YOU WILL LOSE.
-
1 RispondiImagine joining up in matchmakinh in ToO and ur a 32 but ur two random teammates are 25... Ur at 2 losses and just need ons more win to hit 7. Ur pretty much guna lose cuzz of ur two random 25s. Matchmaking is smart, bungie wants a ultra competitive pvp mode not join randos n lose all time vs a 3 man team
-
I agree... for which I was berated for in a different post. Theres merits to both sides. Yes it would be easier for matchmaking to exist. I myself can only get my friends on maybe 2 a week if we're lucky. (One of them straight up hates pvp). Having a good connection and a true competitive atmosphere though? That's what Bungie is known for. In the end it's a good idea.

Any one know how I can get my dick out of this clown?
-
Its a competitive end game mode. Meaning it should be for the best of the best to earn gear to show theyre the best. If a fire team of 3 friends go up against 3 randoms who dont have mics and arent very good/ need carrying then the fireteam of 3 friends will most likely win. Thats no achievement or sign of skill! You can do that in regular crucible. If you cant finda fireteam of 2 other friends who are good then this new mode obviously wasnt designed for you, it doesnt mean bungie are lazy (even though they are, lol but i get why theyve done no matchmaking)
-
4 RisposteMatchmaking for such a competitive pvp gamemode would be the worst as you and 2 randoms will get matched against premade teams 90% of the time and they would tear you a new one 99% of the time that match up happens.because randoms almost NEVER communicate with each other. IB is very similar, look what happens when a fireteam of 6 gets matched with randoms...

Modificato da Guts: 4/30/2015 11:10:48 AMDestiny is a unique game it's not like gears of war or any of those games I like that there's no matchmaking on raids because there will just be AFK people all the time and it makes it more fun when it's intense
have a change every now and then
