Matchmaking
Hi There - I'm not sure how many times people have to ask or say it, but matchmaking should be standard for everything in Destiny that requires a team. Some people love to play this game but have lives and don't have time to find random friends to play with when other friends aren't available. The fact you won't add this feature actually pisses me off. I love your game but you alienating me from completely enjoying it because I have a life and other priorities. I keep hearing you say that some of the game types like Raids and Nightfalls require teamwork and communication, but if you use an outside app like LFG to find team mates your just finding ransoms anyway. Please listen to your customers and add this capability in one of your next updates. Thanks

Couldn't agree more! I was very exited for ToO, enjoyed the gameplay and the 3v3 set up until no MM....? Really common it's PVP !

It should just be an option, you can switch on and off globally for all activities. Many people say that already, and I will say it once more: I don't know why Bungie thinks, giving the player less options makes the game better. It's actually the opposite. I wouldn't want raids to have matchmaking, because I want to try some solo or with just two people, for example. But if I didn't have enough time to play one week, come online on Monday evening and no one of my friends is online or has time, I want to be able to switch matchmaking on and just start a raid with random people, without using an extern fan-made LFG tool. If they are about my level, I know they have enough experience and if I fail because half of them doesn't use a mic or is afk, etc, you can still blame me then. And if I just want to play PVP with my friends without any randoms, I don't want bungie to dictate me how to play the game. There isn't even a point to discuss, imo. Every argument against giving the player this choice is just taking the fun from the game, which should be fun to begin with. The matchmaking flag should just be one global good-visible checkbox on the orbit-screen, which applies for both PVP and PVE.

1 RispondiI think what many, including myself, fear with matchmaking is if it becomes forced. So many wished for optional matchmaking when it came to Weeklys, yet still Bungie decided to force it on them. If it is optional in all cooperative scenarios, sure lets do it, it won't hurt myself since I can just opt out of it. But if Nightfalls and/or god forbid Raids got forced matchmaking, it would blow the player base (and in the end Bungie themselves) to kingdom come. Why you ask? Well, most of the players have been aquinted at least once with the lovely AFKers, lazyasses, speedrunners and trolls that plague the Rocs, doing their own thing and completely ignores the rest of the Strike team. Some has even had the pleasure of getting the beauties in Weeklys after it was forced. And I am personally sick of that. Now, imagine getting two of these in your Raid team expecting to be carried or just simply pushing ahead of the rest, taking the Relic only to have no clue what to do with it etc. I don't want these kids in my fireteam if I happen to five-man some day. And as stated a number of times, being able to communicate is a huge advantage to Raid success, nigh a requirement. A team of friends who knows the Raid and have their rolls can probably complete the Raids with no communication, but you will not get that chemistry with five strangers. And how many actually uses the ingame team voice chat channel? Matchmaking for Raids will get you a team easily, but almost never a working team.

1 Rispondi"Dur u need a mic" You really don't. For anything. Even in raids. You can tell which planet people get teleported to in VoG just by looking at your radar. There's literally nothing in Crota that requires communication. And guess what? If you get a shitty team, you leave and re-enter matchmaking, just like in every other mp game with matchmaking that was ever made.

They should at least add Optional matchmaking and give us a choice. Add more options.

2 RisposteA PvP event doesn't even have matchmaking, we are losing the fight. How are you going to remove matchmaking from a PvP event? This is the same team that made Halo 2.

If they make it optional, sure. If not, no way. I'm all for everyone having the option to use matchmaking but I don't want to be forced to play with randoms when i'm perfectly happy running the raid with a 2 or 3 man team.

8 Risposteuntil the percentage of people going AFK in matchmaker events (weeklies, playlists, crucible) dramatically lowers, events where communication and event dedication is cornerstone (trials of Osiris), matchmaking should never be present.

I think matchmaking should be in every game type. I have a hard time finding people to do it on my busy schedule. Yes, you can run the chance of people quitting during the game. But I would rather take that chance then spend 30 min to get a team together. If you have enough people for your own raid that's great. But give others s chance to do more and get more gear. Just my input. Thanks for listening.

Matchmaking is a necessity for this franchise survival. Matchmaking is already optional in every place it is currently implemented. Want to do RoC with a premade? Go to lfg.com

Yes, optional match making. I hear that both ToO and PoE won't have match making. It will kill off the player base in a heart beat if that happens.

3 RisposteI agree with optional matchmaking. Raids, prison of elders and trials of osiris will become (or are) very elitist gametypes that only a small percentage of the community will play. Many people have said it before and I will say it again: BUNGIE, NOT EVERYONE HAS THE TIME FOR NON-MATCHMAKING GAMETYPES, BUT WANT TO PLAY THEM!!! When will you get it? Matchmaking in weekly heroic has been such a success and now you provide us with this fart in the face? Come on. Give us at least the option to -blam!-ing lose in ToO with a matchmade team.
