Xur ruins destiny - should never sell weapons
He does! The dude should never have sold a damn weapon. Force players to get out and seek the weapons out their selves. Having Xur being there creates controversy
Controversy 1 - sells a weapon that means everyone and their camel now owns it 'icebreaker' for example. I remember when that gun meant something! I've done it on several occasions. I wont lie. Just wish the oppurtunity wasnt there
Controversy 2 - ruins the crucible, take the time not so long ago he sold the 'the last word' meaning. Yet again everyone had it. And also seemed to become the biggest most overly used weapon in the pvp
Controversy 3 - it creates annoying arguements over guns should be nerfed or buffed because like i say they become overly used. Or people seem to think certain guns shouldnt deal bonus damage on crucible etc... its silly.
Controversy 4 - takes the appeal away if we know that the vex/necro aside and the timed exclusives aside (even though in the future he will sell them). At some point xur will sell every exotic weapon. I got so dissapointed after realising my hard light no longer meant that it was rare..
Xur should be there primarily for armour selling in my opinion. No one talks about buffing or nerfing armour xD
Most of the weapons i see people find from raids/nightfalls are 9 times outta 10 dismantled to a shard... that shouldnt be what happens to what was originally meant to be the rarest guns out there...
No xurning weapons = no jealousy over those with or without a ghorn or similar
= no more nerfing/buffing talks (hopefully)
= that wicked feeling you get after getting one of the exotics weapons would happen more frequently
Or get spoonfed by xur :)

If you feel special for having an exotic, and you feel sad when others have what you have, the problem isn't the game but your own mentality regarding the situation.. If everyone has a gjallarhorn that's good news for me, as any matchmade thing I'm in should have a higher chance of success due to a higher number of well geared people. Thats the only way it affects me at all. Nerfing/buffing whine will be there regardless. Id say vendor all exotics and gear, and remove rng from the game, rather than the other way around. At least that way, people will actually have to earn them...

3 RisposteMy only beef with xur is there's not enough content in this game for it all to be sold by a vendor with a currency that so easily obtainable. It's somewhat ruined my destiny experience in a sense of I was able to buy almost every exotic in the game if I didn't already get it elsewhere. As of right now I'm only missing the 4th horsemen. Xur made it a little to easy imo. Yes rng is a bitch and it isn't fair most of the time but mmos are typically designed in a grind where the people who put in more time obviously are rewarded destiny does not work this way they cater to casuals and have been more so lately anyways. It shouldn't work that way imo. Why should the guy that puts in 100 hours basically be given what the guy that put in 400 hours has gotten without xur. It doesn't make sense to me and it's not the right solution to the bad luck rng loot system. I've bought lots of gear from xur and in the future if he has something I don't I will continue to buy it. But it's that 20% who are hard core destiny players that are gonna keep this game alive not the casuals that play a few hours a week doing bountys and the odd weekly amongst playing 10 others games. They will move on while bungie leaves the hard core players in the dust with nothing left to do . That's just my opinion.

I think xur should maybe bring a weapon once a month, armour fine, upgrades fine, telemtaries , sparrow upgrades and synths, that's fine too, but I think it kind of kills the joy of having an exotic when no one does But on the other hand xur is great for getting your first few exotics,maybe he should have a limit of 3 exotic weapons purchases, I dunno, I do know he helps people who are just starting to get those legendaries

I completely agree with this post if you do the weekly on all of your characters for four weeks you can get 108 strange coins a month now that is wnough strange coins to buy atleast four guns minimum you should only beable to get exotics from raids nighfalls or even randomly dropped guns. Now Xur would be okay if huns costed more coins like maybe 100 or so that way the acerage player would need to budget there coins.

You shouldn't worry too much about it man. This is a casual difficulty game. They don't want to scare away the majority of the player base away by making the game challenging but rewarding. I'm honestly surprised that they haven't started sending a care package out each weekend with a random exotic weapon and armor in it.

1 RispondiI feel that exotics should have been treated as an ultra rare item. Legendaries should be making up the bulk of weapons and those nerf tears should be about them. In a way, it started out that way. People inspecting others, wondering what the hell that item was that just tore them apart in pvp or helped them crush that boss in pve. It added a level of awe to the experience. But there is no awe even if it's a hm raid only item. People found ways to devalue the effort and reward. Yeah its traditional thinking but that was part of my drive, when I got an item no one had yet, then got those pm's complimenting it. It was cool, made you feel like a legend for that brief moment. It's rare to see that these days in any online game.

10 RisposteForce players to get free loot from RNG.... I wish you slackers would at least earn one gun by grinding coins rather than getting everything handed to you for free . Bunch of free loaders thinking that twiddling their thumbs for 30 minutes and getting free loot at the end counts as "earning". They need to remove loot from strikes, raids and crucible. Make people actually earn their gear.

Why do you think HoW has no raid? It's because bungie know that people like yourself are not the majority. I play Destiny as a game to have fun for short periods at a time (yes's I'm a filthy casual), I do not raid and struggle to find people to do the nightfall with. Without Xur I would have zero exotics, so thank you Bungie and thank you xur!
