What if you are just an average pvp player,
sometimes you get first place with most kill and some times you don't...
Some times you win in Rumble some times you loose. Just and average player with and average K/D.
As most players are, I reckon.
Would you have a chance in ToO.?
I mean, there will be some very skillful players out there with high K /D and good teams .
For those player it will be less struggle to get that highly sought after gear.
Will the Trial of osiris be a playground for a few very skilled players?
In other words: will it be balanced?
EDIT
After reading most of your posts , in which many were very interesting and creative, I have come to my own conclusion : Yes! Trial of Osiris should be balanced. By balanced I mean in the way that the more skilled players should recive the gear they deserve.
In other words: If you don't have it, you won't get it.
As for now we don't know much about ToO, so our opinions are speculative.
We have to wait one more day to find out....

3 RisposteIn my opinion it's going to be hard but not impossible for casual players. Skirmish is the most unforgiving crucible mode there is. If you get one amazing player on the opposing team and your team is all average you will probably lose. I've had games where my teammates go negative but we manage to win because the other team is just not that good and I can abuse them. I've also been on the other end where my whole team gets stomped out because you have 1 MLG type sniper or TLW user who just plays all day and is amazing and you can't stop him. If they allow fireteams in, controllers will be slammed. I don't see why they wouldn't. My hope is that thousands of casuals will be playing and that will thin the chances of running into these pro players with 2.0+ KD

Rewards for this format should be based on performance. That is how you cull the weak.
-
eh Disappointed about it bc fawk pvp but ive done okay in Iron bananas I might try a few times ive got like .8 or .9 k/d overall but tbh im more excited about the queens wrath coming back and the prison of elders o _ o
-
Sadly, I'm sure boosting will become a thing again as people already do it for Thorn. They are obviously going to do so for Osiris rewards
-
All I know is with the latest update with special ammo and heavy ammo and since I've always stuck with a primary I will wreck kids in trials because they won't be able to rely only on their Shotgun or fusion rifle.

2 RisposteFind a friend and practice. It will suck to be alone against teams of 3. I expect much more strategy in the matches. Once a team is winning they will have no reason to run and gun anymore.

10 RisposteModificato da bwerbwerbhb fbfb: 4/27/2015 11:39:57 AMhttp://i.imgur.com/5CR8jGJ.jpg You will have to be on "win spree" to get better rewards. There are "tiers" One is called "stone" and you have to win twice in the row to get the reward. Just a bit specultion because we've seen only 1 reward for 2 wins in the row.
Stone Tier is a Trials Reward item that grants the player with Stone Tier Prizes. It can be purchased from Brother Vance for 100 Glimmer and 2 wins on Trials Passage.
2 RisposteI personally play more pve, a lot more. I don't feel like as a casual pvp player I should be just as entitled to the gear as a hardcore pvper. Meaning, if someone is great at pvp they should be rewarded more than someone who doesn't put that time in. That's why there is end game gear for pve and pvp players. Neither should be spoon fed to us.

You better watch out You better not cry You better not pout I'm telling you why Smoggy Pluto's joining your game
-
1 RispondiI think the more kills, killstreaks, and wins you get, the better the rewards are. Once you lose, you're out, and have to start over. So getting the good exotic gear and weapons will be based on skill, and not how many times you can play it
-
6 RisposteI like the idea of something being hard to get. Everything is too easy in this game.
-
4 Risposte1 Lag hard 2 Equip blink 3 Become a nightcrawler wanna-be that no-one can shoot 4 -blam!- bitches, get money
-
I'm in the same boat, I do ok in control and clash, but skirmish is something of a cluster-blam!-.

1 RispondiCan't wait to get burned by Thorns and lied to by Felwinter nonstop!
-
2 RisposteMaking the gear only available to higher skill level players is a really good idea. It fixes the randomness of the post-activity rewards that will reward a person in last with an exotic. This gives the higher skill level Crucible players something of their own. I am not the best in Crucible either, so getting the gear would be quite difficult for me, but I can keep trying. And besides, there is always the Prison of Elders gear if Crucible is not your thing. Or, that whole upgrading old gear to the new light level thing.
-
Sucks to be you, I'm looking forward to it!
-
Wait like 2 weeks after the trials comes out less tryhards
-
Alright here's what I think: Bungie is fixing the loot system. You will be able to purchase Raud gear weekly from the vendors in the Reef, 1 item and 1 armor I think. In the Twitch preview the Osiris vendor sold packages based on the number of wins you had per ticket. The more wins you got the better packages you had access to. The first 2 packages were rare, the second 2 were purple. You can buy them with armor/weapon upgrades, nit sure if they meant etheric light. For the final tier package you needed 1 armor and 1 weapon upgrade, so I'm assuming you'll probably get 1 armor piece and 1 weapon from that one.

5 RisposteI'm torn on this. I want Trials or some PvP format to reward well organized play. At the same time, depending on how unforgiving it is, Trials might end up another grind, albeit one done over weeks rather than a single week like Iron Banner. It is too early to know. But, if I see someone going around with a Trials helmet I want to know that person is bad news in the Crucible. Iron Banner used to make me feel that way. But, i've noticed how much IB is a straight up time investment and less of a skill based challenge.
-
If iron banner is anything to go by, then it will just be another red bar lag fest. The idea seems awesome but crucible is annoying with lag. Wish that issue was addressed before releasing more pvp events but I'm not in charge.
-
Lol sometimes you loose
-
Yeah I'm screwed. But we have quite a bit of time to collect the gear to enjoy it.
-
1 RispondiI hope not i want a good pvp rewards system...
-
1 RispondiWait for the reveal. Until then everyone is just talking nonsense.
-
7 RisposteI'm assuming it will be tiered to cater to the player skill level in some way. Then again it would be really interesting if it was only for the best.
-
1 RispondiIt may not be balanced i dont think they will be able to do that. Even if they do you will have people making new accounts abd wrecking kd so they can get in lower ranked groups just like any other non regulated tournament. Anyhow if you play it no matter how good or bad you are i am positive you will be able to get the gear. There is no way bungie is not going to make it possible for everyone to have a chance to get gear, just look at the loot system the way it is now. Nothing matters about how well you did in a group and its not going to start now. The only difference is it will cost people more currency to enter the trials if they suck at it. If your more skilled you wont have to buy in as often.
