Everyone is leaving Destiny. The fanboys(I am one, relax guys) will defend and say no...nobody is leaving. But they are.
Tuesday morning and all of my raid group/clan...didn't even sign into Destiny. Some are playing other things...taking a break...some didn't even get on xbox live. No nightfalls. No weeklys.
And these are players with over 1,000 hours.
Destiny has officially lost its draw. It's not holding attention anymore. It's unfortunate. I've been trying to warn you, but unfortunately I'm a pebble in a very large river.
Good luck to Destiny as it wanes into the land of obscurity along with "greats" like Titanfall.
I love Destiny. But it doesn't love me back.

1 RispondiClose to 1000 hour mark myself and took a break. I went back to Dark Souls and CoD Zombies. Destiny was fun when I had gear to aquire. The story missions have no luster. You can roll legendaries to get what you want. On top of that I can't just use fun weapons in even regular crucible. With the taken king approaching I continue to question if $40 is worth the content. I fear that I'm going to grab the handful of new exotics and the raid weapons I want I'll stop playing again.

They will be back

4 RisposteBut but but 20 million registered players =O

14 Risposte"Existing members will have to pay a whopping $40 for this new 'expansion', while new players can get the game and all expansions for a measly $60." "It's a bold move, Cotton, let's see how it works out for them..." "Looks like it didn't work out..."

It's a shame that this is occurring. There are those willing to stick around for TTK, and there are some who are putting Destiny down for awhile. If not for good... Me? I'm playing other things right now. I may play Destiny around this same time next year when other dlc arrive and the prices drop. That way, I will actually be paying for the worth of the content. I tried that once by paying $80 for the game and $35 for TDB and HoW. Which in turn just recently learned that Bungie's actual value on the content plus game, is cheaper than $60. $60 now is the game plus 3 dlcs. I should get all the gear in a quick fashion since rng seems to favor heavily towards newcomers or those who don't play as often.

I haven't played in almost an entire month, I just check the forums once in awhile to see if there's been any positive changes. But I think with all of the recent controversy, coupled with what the OP said about not holding attention is true. I've had zero interest to play for weeks, and I've been playing since the beta. I even almost considered trading it in, but I'm still holding on to it, just to see what September might bring... When it all comes down to it: The grinding, the endless repetition, the hours spent... What's it all for?

1 RispondiAll we wanted was a complete story

1 RispondiThey already bought the game, bungie don't care about them anymore.

While I agree with you completely, OP; I've been saying this same exact thing in various posts and threads for months now. Acti$hit/Bungle are clueless how to manage/develop a game in this genre. I was even going to give them the benefit of the doubt and at least read reviews of The Taken Wallet. I was going to let those reviewers experience it first, then make up my mind based on their objective opinions. But it's all OK. It will all be fine. And I don't even have to read those reviews now. ESOTU: Imperial city was just announced today. I play the game on my One, so on September 15th, I have something else that is a better expenditure of my hard-earned money. I'll be awash in a mind-boggling amount of new content, new dungeons, equipment sets, etc. Destiny layers will get more... "Hey, guys... haven't we been here already?" I pick ESO.

3 RisposteDestiny is a bit like the emperors clothes, sooner or later everyone sees it for what it is.

12 RisposteI barely see anyone on anymore. HoW was an unmitigated disaster in my opinion. Hardly anyone plays ToO because there's no matchmaking and the same for PoE. There's a bigger problem with PoE though. It sucks, it's not fun and its repetitive. Not a great combo. I'm releveling a new character because 90% of what we play is day one content anyway, so what the hell. We've tried talking to Bungie, but they've apparently got all the answers.

One fan that is done and over till big price break in ttk
-
3 RisposteNotice how most of your bumps are people who don't even have that good shit let alone done any raids. Cheers!

Lost all the ppl I used to play destiny with. Even the100 takes forever now to get a group together. Destiny had a great destiny but bungie/Activision got greedy and now the future is very grim...
-
Unless you play PVP or enjoy it, your average PVE players will come back for DLC and then leave rinse/repeat but it didn't help no raid this time around.
-
The problem with this game is if activision doesn't find it profitable it's gone. With an online game that means no more game period..
-
The only reason I stopped playing everyday was because I got sick of lfg and for me to be excepted anywhere I needed a gally and if people joined and saw I did not have it they would leave and what's worse is that now in order to get my official day one player emblem I have to complete 35 Poe when there is no point in doing it cause the rewards are not worth the grind
